Great tour - This was a great tour for beginner snorkelers - our kids aged 11 and 15 did great. They have full life vests avail, as well as inflatable ones for more experienced swimmers. Mauricio the guide was wonderful, and we saw lots of turtles, fish, some rays, and had a great time. It is still snorkeling in the ocean, so keep that in mind for your young ones. Well paced, and ended right when everyone was getting a bit tired.

Loads of Snorkeling! - We had a fantastic time on the snorkel trip. Daisy, Eduardo, and Alex did a job showing us all the great spots. We got to see a turtle, starfish, and lots of other great marine life. For people who really enjoy snorkeling and swimming, this is perfect for you. If this is your first time, it may feel like a lot of swimming and you may get exhausted. However, you get what you pay for. Great trip and highly recommend if you’re looking to snorkel a lot and see a lot!

Excellent tour! - Amazing the whole trip! Kike was our guide and did excellent, showed us a lot of amazing places and we could spot turtles, rays, puffer fish, crabs and starfish. We weren’t convinced to want the photos as on a previous tour (done elsewhere) the photos left a lot to be desired, but the photographer of the tour stopped by! They gave us lots of amazing photos and videos, we left happy

Amazing Experience in Mexico!! - We have just returned from our Cancun, Mexico vacation and have had time to reflect on all the great things that we did and one of those was the 5 in 1 Snorkel Excursion with Total Snorkel Cancun booked directly through our resort. First I'd like to say how surprisingly cheap the cost was, I thought it would be a lot more expensive as our dolphin excursion we booked last year in Mexico cost twice as much, this one for all 5 sites was I believe $85 per person USD (very similar price if booking directly through their website). The 5 sites that we got to visit was: Cenote, Reef, Turtles, Underwater Museum (MUSA) and then the Shipwreck. Upon booking the excursion the agent did advise up front that sometimes they do close the dock if it's to windy/rough to go out and in that case they would re-schedule and also that there was a $20 USD docking fee that must be paid upon check-in at the marina and in cash. Transportation was included to and from the excursion and Fernando was our driver, he was great and very nice - it was a van full of people from different resorts that were going the same day, once we arrived at the Marina Puerta Norte we had to line up for check-in which is essentially where you pay the docking fee, sign a waiver and are met with your tour guide who then gets you set up with your snorkel equipment/fins etc. Our tour guide was Miguel (I hope that's right), Captain Barracuda and unfortunately I didn't get the girls name that accompanied us - right from the start Miguel was fantastic, he explained everything very well (he spoke very good English as well) and was patient with everyone, once you got your snorkel gear he took us to a little section off shore where you had to test the mask/snorkel to make sure that there wasn't any leaks etc. and also to make sure you were comfortable with using the equipment, once everyone was done with that then you get on board the boat and set sail to the first site which as the cenote, then the reef, the turtles we spent about 30mins in the water looking for them and then onto the other two. We did spend a good 2 hours if not maybe longer in the water between all the sites, the day we had was perfect - the ocean was nice and warm and in general it was a hot day. One thing I really liked about Miguel was his attention to everyone, he made sure that everyone was ok after getting into the water from off the boat and he explained what to do while in the water - often explaining to just let the current take you to where we needed to go, again he was very patient with everyone and helped everyone get back onto the boat which can be a bit difficult especially with the waves as it rocks the boat. The girl that accompanied us on the tour was not only assisting Miguel with the tour but she was diving deep to get phenomenal pictures of everyone and the sites so that if you wanted to buy the pictures/videos afterwards you could. There was also no pressure to actually go in the water, the other people we were with who was a mother and her three kids (one older, a small girl and a approx. 10yrs old boy) - the little girl sat on the boat the whole time (think she was to scared) and the boy sat most times except when it was time for the turtles and shipwreck, so if you got tired etc. you could easily stay behind without pressure to go in. At the end you can go get showered/changed in the bathroom, they advise if your transportation has arrived and then they also usher you to where you can see your pictures, we did end up buying the package which was extremely reasonable for the number of pictures the girl took, it was $60 USD for all pics/videos (approx. $90CAD) - let me tell you this might seem expensive but compared to what the Dolphin excursion picture packages cost this was very reasonable (the dolphin packages were between $200-$600 USD which was insane) - they give you a QR code to scan that gives you access to your pictures - we had 13 pages of 12 pictures on each page (so around 150 pictures/videos) Overall it was an absolutely phenomenal day - I could have stayed out there all day long watching the fish/turtles etc. swim by me. I can't say enough good things about Miguel our tour guide, Captain Barracuda and the girl that was with them, I would 1000% recommend Total Snorkel Cancun to anyone and if you're in Mexico I would say next to swimming with the dolphin's this is the next must do excursion - you won't regret going.

Dont get lost! follow your group - Emilio, Kiki and Mr. Cameraman took care of us really well. Forecast says it will rain but it was nice and sunny. When you get to the port, they'll get you to try the life jacket, snorkel mask and fins in shallow water. When you're comfortable, everyone will go to the boat. The sites are close to each other. There's free water bottle. I didn't realize I was following the wrong group one time. My group was like 500meters away so make sure you are watching your surroundings as you go. Had to swim fast to catch up. this made me skip the next spot and puked my breakfast on the boat. Took ginger lonzenges and felt better. on the last spot, everyone was tired. We were only there for like 10mins before everyone decided they couldn't swim anymore due to the stronger current. Nevertheless, the sites were very nice. Lots of striped fishes, stingrays, barracuda, saw 3 turles, shipwreck but corals doesn't look healthy. The whole thing from hotel pick up to hotel drop off was around 3hours.

Perfect for avid snorkelers, still decent for the whole family, staff and logistics excellent! - As an adult who absolutely loves snorkeling, this was excellent. Easy transfer from hotel, very little waiting, despite there being a ton of people at the dock, we never had to fight for attention or even wonder if they'd forgotten us. Once on the boat, there was no screwing around: went to the spot got in the water, saw cool stuff at a leisurely pace, got out went to the next spot. Not rushed. Lots of time in the water. Saw turtles and rays among other things! My only change would have been to book on a day that had less wind... Obviously not everyone has schedule flexibility and it relies on a forecast that works From a 13yo and 15yo perspective: Thought it was cool. The boat ride was bumpy. Staff was really good. Some of the places we went were a little lackluster - the cenote and shipwreck did not impress my son (who is not a big snorkeler)

Disappointed in communication - My review was not on the trip itself as we ended up not going. This company did not send us a pick-up time although the email clearly stated that they would email us a pick-up time. They said they called us, but we did not have any missed calls from them, nor did they leave a voicemail. We should have been more relentless in trying to get in touch with them. Our concierge called to talk to them in Spanish to explain the situation and the best they would do is offer to let us go the next day, but we'd have to pay an additional $20 per person for the transportation. Very disappointed that they did not offer to let us go the next day without paying extra.
