Pray for good weather! - Had a great time on this excursion! Pretty much it was only the weather that we wish we could have changed. It was too windy to snorkel, and took 1.5 hours to arrive to Isla Mujeres because of that. The three hosts (driver, bartender, guide) were so fun to have around and very informational! They gave suggestions and advice, but ultimately let us do whatever we wanted. They really made the trip fun! The 5 hour time limit was very quick and we didn’t get to explore Isla Mujeres at all besides eating at a restaurant. The photographer on board was pretty entertaining and fun too. Some people from our group bought their photos for $40. We had 14 people go on the trip and they always needed some up front on the boat and some on back for weight. It was only hard to move about the boat because of the windy weather. I would only do this adventure again in good weather and at least another hour longer.

Wish it was a little more exciting. - The trip was beautiful, no doubt. We were initially supposed to with a different boat group but ended up with Neptuno. The crew was nice and tried to hype up the crowd. Be aware that the snorkeling is a hit or miss, the water was a little choppy for us to snorkel, but they did give us an option to go at our own risk. We ended up opting out but a lot of people said that we didn’t miss much since there wasn’t much to see. Be also aware of all the things that are not included and make sure you ask before your trip because you’ll end up paying things extra. The drinks were watered down, must ask for extra shot to even taste the liquor. The ride to isla mujeres was nice, ambiance was great, the food was okay, it was more of a lunch line and you only had 90 min to eat (or 60 can’t remember to a T). The water was so pretty but it was too shallow to swim in, it just went up to your hip max. You were given an option to purchase a golf cart to “ride around” as it was portrayed, but in reality we just had to follow everyone that had a golf cart to punta sur (the other side of the island) and look at some statues and shops and ride back before boarding time again to head back to the city. DONT let the photographers take advantage of you by paying $120 for some pictures… a lot of other folks in our group was given the same package deal for pictures for less than what we bought it for, it’s like they pick and choose who to rip off and who actually negotiates with them for the price. We didn’t pay $120 of course but it was just crazy how much they wanted for 20 mediocre pictures honestly.. I get they are trying to make their money but I did feel like there was a lot of trying to rip people off and still ask for tips at the end of the excursion.. but that’s just my opinion.

Last time - The crew and boat ride was great. They double booked us on the same boat we had originally been scheduled for a 1/2 trip but the boat that they put us on was for a full day. They had to find another boat to bring us back. The whole time they kept asking us to stay for the original trip but we had told them we also had reservations for another event that night. We finally got back to the original meeting point at 6 o’clock and when we got back our transportation that we had book thru you was gone and we had to pay for another way of transportation to get back to the hotel. No communication

Not Properly Represented on Viator - My biggest issue with this tour was that the boat and crowd was not properly represented on Viator. We were shuffled onto a very large catamaran with probably somewhere in the range of 60-70 people. We also were not communicated to regarding transfer back to our hotel and left to try to figure out where our ride was alone. We ended up taking Uber back at the end. Food was not served on the boat but a buffet was open when you arrive at the island. Snorkeling was excellent IF you could get away from the crowd. At one point I had two panicking tourists clinging onto me. Life jackets are mandatory and they do not provide flippers. The staff was great, fun people.

Boring - First off too many people on one boat. The boat was 45 minutes late picking us up. By the time we arrived to the island we only had less than a hour to enjoy and it was time to leave. The trip was not worth the money. I wish I could get a refund. The sitting was tight and uncomfortable we were just over it

Cons far outweigh the pros - I’ve put a lot of thought into whether I would give this 2 or 3 stars. We had fun and there were definitely highlights, but there were also a lot of negatives. I’ll start with the pros: 1- the on-board photographer was great 2- the crew was extra helpful with our 4.5yo 3- the surroundings are so beautiful that you will forgive a crappy tour in the moment Now for the cons: 1- the boat is VERY small and basically the only place to sit is on very uncomfortable netting. Not recommended with kids (ours did great but she’s a trooper) You also have no space to put your stuff really. 2- “snorkeling” is a stretch. They dump you into a rough section of water where there are a bajillion other boats and you need to swim 500M point to point and THEY DON’T GIVE YOU FINS. So you’re basically just swimming really hard to get to the pickup and there was nothing to see underwater. Super super lame- if you’re going for snorkeling, this isn’t your trip. 3- They asked for $85US for a golf cart rental, which ended up being a super rushed tour where we couldn’t stop or actually visit any of the sites, lasting about 40 mins. Also, if you rent your own it’s $55 FOR THE WHOLE DAY. We were definitely ripped off. 4- This is definitely a party boat with the only goal of drinking a lot. If you’re into that then this is your boat, otherwise it’s not worth your time. 5- The guide set up our transportation back to our hotel for 7:30pm but we got back almost an hour early. He didn’t help us have them come earlier, so we had an extra hour of just standing at a park with our hungry, tired kid waiting for our ride. We asked for his help and he just left for the day. We made the most of it but I definitely wouldn’t do this again nor recommend it to others. There are more professional outfits out there.

DO NOT GO!!!!! - DO NOT GO!!!! 1st stop...19 catamarans x 30 people each, snorkel in a group giant circle, can't see nothing but other peoples fins., must follow the guide-0-fun. 2nd stop...same as above but near a shore,,,can't swim w/o. a life jacket, have to stay near your boat!!!! dead fish everywhere. no floats or paddle boards offered. captain called coast guard and police because we are not swimming with a life jacket ( a very negative experience)... 3rd stop...off you go to an overpacked- dirty- island with thousands of people rushing around to find a free inch of space... where you need to spend more $$$$...overcrowded, bombarded by constant sales, polluted.... this is NOT A LUXURY SAILING...that was a bait -n-switch guided torture trip!!! DO NOT GO!!!!
