Loved it! - This was an amazing tour, we had Luis and he was very funny and lovely. I can’t remember the other two staffs names but they were also very kind and made an effort to check our wellbeing throughout the experience! Would 100% recommend

Fascinating, beautiful, history, fun - Saying the Chichen Itzá tour is amazing is an understatement! Words can’t describe the feeling you get as you’re walking on the lands where the Mayan civilization inhabited. There is so much fascinating history to learn about and so many beautiful landscapes to see. They’re so many good sights you can capture photos of but as always, photos don’t do justice because there’s nothing like being there in person to witness such experience. I understand now why this place is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The Ik Kil cenote is breath taking, as you descend down the stone stairs and see the beautiful waters, it’s such an incredible feeling. The water is cold since theres little to no sun down there but don’t worry, your body adjusts to it and it feels nice and fresh during the warm/hot days. The Valladolid town is also a great place to visit, with lots of restaurants, shops, vendors, cafes and history to check out. I would love to come back and do this tour again one day and bring my family/friends so they can get the same experience I did. Thank you to my tour guide Jesus Alarcon. He shows so much passion and is very educating on the history there. He made our experience very fun! 👏🏼

Great Until I heard the Price - First off the group who drove us and our tour guide were fantastic, worth five points on their own. As for the underground cenote it was as beautiful as it looks. Here’s the negative, what they don’t tell you is you can’t bring in your phone even if you have it in a case that won’t fall to bottom of cenote. Instead they force you to leave your phone behind and take pictures inside the cenote, well here’s the kicker if you want those photos/memories they will charge you $70 USD. that it outrageous and disgusting. Not only did I pay over $160 USD for the experience but now you want to force me to pay you $70 for something that should be included. Not worth it, there’s other cenotes that allow you to use your phone for photos with no charge, you take the risk of dropping it that’s on you. Or atleast allow the folks who have those safe phone cases that float to mitigate any issues. Oh and when I say pay $70 bucks they ain’t printed anything out they are simple sending you the copies. LAME!!! The rest of the tour was great but I truely disliked having to find out how greedy the cenote company is.

I purchased this tour... - I purchased this tour based on many good reviews. Our visit to Chichén Itzá was good. After Chichén Itzá, we were bused to a restaurant for lunch. Later, the tour guide took us for a short walk/talk around the restaurant and then took us to a big souvenir store. After we spent some time in the store, I asked the tour guide when we will leave for the cenote Ik Kil. He said “This is shopping time. We will leave whenever people finished shopping. You can wait outside if you don’t want shopping”. At this time there were already more than half of people waited outside in a hot and humid afternoon. The shopping spree lasted for ~1.5 hours and it was not disclosed in the program. After that, the following program to cenote and Validate were rushed through and we arrived hotel ~9:30pm. The Chichén Itzá was amazing and driver was very dedicated during the 14 hours tour. It was long day and a lot of time was wasted. I wish the tour adhered to the original program described on the Viator.
