Amazing experience!!! - Our tour guide was Abel. He was so entertaining and made the day go by fast! He was very funny and knowledgeable and told us a lot of history of the mayans. We had gone to chichen itza which was like a 2hr drive. Then spent time as a group there, as it is easy to get lost and were given time to take pictures. Then we spent an hour at the cenote. Then we had lunch in the Mayan village, and got to meet the mayans and the leader of the mayans. We really wanted to see the villages so we’re glad this was included in the tour. And then we spent around 30 mins at the Valladolid city. Where we got snacks and looked the the church. Overall it is a long day but however Abel made it worth it. So thank you. I thought everything was well organised even the drops offs and pick ups. Didn’t find it long waiting times like the comments had suggested. We were in a big group which was split in half

Once in a Life Time Dream Vacay - The main purpose of my trip was to see Chichen Itza. It was a fantastic dual-language tour through the ruins which started with the smaller section and ended with the larger structure. The tour guide Abel was very knowledgeable and during the bus ride was showing us pictures and building up information about precious artefacts and obstacles faced by the Mayan people. The town for lunch was cute and the lunch itself was delicious. We went to the cenote afterward and it was one of the craziest, most breathtaking things I have ever seen with my own two eyes. We stopped afterward in a colonial town, which was only sullied by the fact that two of our busmates were late. Besides the extreme positives of the trip and the once in a lifetime places, I do have some cautions. The tour guide encouraged us to not purchase anything at the vendors at Chichen Itza, but to wait to purchase things at the town during our lunch. It was an enclosed area with a traditional Mayan dance and then a very expensive giftshop. We were told on the bus that the money from that giftshop goes directly to the town and that Mexico has been plagued with fake items from China. Also that local families that need money are being swindled by vendors in tourist areas and major cities. While that may be true, the items in the giftshop were extremely expensive and were clearly placed there as a tourist trap. Workers would follow you and try to get you to purchase expensive items. Even the tour guide Abel came up to me to show me how certain gemstones shined. I did end up purchasing one or two things but not the higher ticket items that they were probably expecting me to. One of the other things that we were encouraged to purchase on the bus was an astrological Mayan calendar with our birthday and instructions on how to use it. It was printed from a printer clearly running out of ink and was rather expensive for what it was. Do I truly regret anything I purchased on the trip? No. Simply because I went into it acknowledging the fact that this was somewhat of a tourist trap. In writing this, I just want people to also realize that they will be put into situations such as these and, if you are having difficulties as is walking through the streets of Cancun or other similar cities, this may add more annoyance to your vacation.

Great tour, disappointing travel - Mario was very informative, excellent tour guide, Oscar was a safe driver. Enjoyed the Chichen Itza. The cenote was enjoyable as well. I did not realize how much time we would spend at the Mayan village for lunch. It was not on the tour description. I appreciate seeing the village but it’s basically to get tourist to buy stuff and leave tips. Van was clean and new but way too small for any adults sitting in the back row. Extremely uncomfortable to sit in the back row for 3hrs at a time. Not sure what would happen if someone happened to be overweight, elderly or has problems with their knees/hips. There is also only a small window in the back to look out so very disappointing that we were not able to see the sites during the long drive . It was a long day, 12 hours but expected with that distance. This tour was an easy way to see a wonder of the world.!

Awesome time in Mexico. - Swimming in the cenote was the best part, especially after a hot day in the sin looking at the ruins.
