Chichén Itzá - We went on Chichén Itzá excursión 5 years ago. Kauil (Stitch) was a great guide and we learned so much more with his expertise and knowledge of the Mayan culture that it felt like a truly new experience!

Interesting and fun - It was very nice, wonderful and fun the way in which the guide and professional ivonne explained everything related to Mayan culture, it looks like he is a person prepared for the subject and it is a pleasure to have people like that because with that way of being we get better into the subject, I certainly recommend it

Too long but spectacular ruins - This is not an 11 hour tour but a 13 hour tour. Way too long. It didn't start well for me as my tour said a 7am pick up and then there was a second msg saying I was an 7am pickup which I didn't see so a long wait. The guide, Abel, was well informed and excellent throughout. His English is very good and he mostly kept a big group controlled well although there were always people late at stops and nothing was done. The highlight is definitely chichen itza and Abel's explanations really added to the marvel of this site. I felt we had enough time there to enjoy it. The lunch was very average - the best part for me was the cut fresh fruit at the end. Throughout the lunch and cuisine part of the tour we were hassled for tips - for waiters, dancers, ladies who made tacos - and then rushed round a store to sell us high quality goods. Meeting the sharman was cool but he looked uncomfortable to be honest. The ik kil cenote is beautiful but was so crowded we waited 20 minutes for the obligatory life jacket. Other travellers knew to bring a towel but none of my messages from viator told me this so I had to buy one - another added expense. There was nothing serene or sacred about the cenote with people screaming and jumping into the water from a high platform. But the cool water felt lovely on a hot day and I was still glad to do this. The last stop at Valladolid seemed a waste of time except for people who wanted ice cream or churros. Everyone was tired by then, it was v late and apart from a colonial church exterior there really was nothing to see there in 30 minutes. So I wish I had simply been able to do chichen itza and the cenote as all the extras add nothing to his tour and just make it very long. I wasn't dropped at my hotel till after 9pm and I had expected it would be 630pm. I am glad I saw the ruins and learned about Mayan Culture but felt the description of this tour and the timings shown just did not match up to expectations.

Amazing tour! - Very nice tour where you can see a lot in one day. Felt a bit rushed time to time but that’s what you’ll get if you want to see as much as possible in one day. Highlight for us was the cenote. Our guides Perfecto and Patricio were fantastic and gave us a lot of info about the Mayas. Patricio remembered everyone’s names which felt really nice. The lunch was okay, not a lot of vegetarian options though. All in all highly recommend this tour!

A great full day experience. - Perfecto y' Patricio were fantastic guides that gave us a great guided tour of the Mayan Yucatan. Chichen itza was busy but that is a fact of life. Still lots of oppertunities to get great views and photos. The cenote was fantastic. Great vibes. Great aesthetics and plenty of time to soak in the water. The Mayan lunch was good but gave strong tourist trap vibes. They work hard to try and avoid it but it can't be helped when the gift shop on the way out is bigger than the cafeteria the food is served in. Valladolid was a quick visit but had a lot of personality. You stop at the square and there are vendors, but it gives a more natural vibe. It would be interesting to see the town when not invaded by busses of tourists, but it was still a well Recieved stop. The trip is worth the cost of admission. Bring a camera.
