Must do! - Booked through TUI and was by far the best trip of our holiday!
Oliver and the crew made the trip 10/10 service!
Fun and relaxing day whilst also getting to see the beautiful island and seeing a different side of Mexico

Customer! - This trip with this tour group was absolutely lovely. The boat crew of Dos was so lovely and attentive. They gave us time to snorkel, a lovely lunch and had much knowledge about the island we visited! I highly recommend! Thank you Aida, Guti, Pablo and Chabela for a fabulous day!

Basic, can improve - You are quoted 1 hour before the tour starts, as it was at 12:00 and we turned out until 1 pm. We could not go down to snorkeling because there was bad weather, but at no time we were given life jacket, despite the wind was intense, you go barefoot above with the risk of slipping, because obviously the ground gets wet from the shock of the waves, a gentleman almost goes with his back to the stairs for the same reason. When we arrived in Isla Mujeres we were given 1 hour to "tour the village", obviously you don't have time for anything but to see souvenirs and then you are taken to the beach club, which although it is beautiful, everything is super rushed, as soon as you go down you have to go to eat at the buffet because in 1 hour you have to be ready if you rented golf carts to go around the island, with a cost of $800 mxn. You make 2 stops on the tour, the views are beautiful, but you feel that you are running all the time that you do not enjoy it 100%. After the tour that lasts the same 1 now approx, you arrive back to the beach club and bye, back to the boat. The truth was waiting for even more atmosphere back, but no, they play music like 20 min and the rest is to ask for the tip of the crew on what the boat reaches the dock. Honestly it could get a lot better at making people’s time worthwhile.

Highest charge in onboard service sales - Great boat, but those who operate the sale of other services on board, opportunists. They invent history that there are only 5 cars to rent on the Isla and when you get there there are 50, with this they charge very expensive. They insisted that we rent with them, it was so forced we immediately realized, I just wanted to win the part of their commission. We rent beeeeeeem cheaper when arriving at Isla Mujeres.

Go on your own, cheaper and better. - Too long in a beach club with a dirty bathing area. They sell you a tour with golf cars already in the catamaran another 50€ and if you don’t make it wait in the beach club... the only good thing is the catamaran and the crew.

Nice enough staff, poor experience - The boat itself and most of the staff were nice, drinks flowing.
However I would not recommend for the following reasons
1. The boarding process is lengthy, where they insist you must buy eco friendly sunscreen (fortunately ours was ok when checked). Then we were told we could not put this on if we wanted to snorkel!
2. Snorkelling was ok, they had all the equipment. The water was very rough so you needed to be a very good swimmer and the reef was poor, not much to see compared to other places
3. The beach club was not luxury, music far too loud and the food for pretty poor (definitely not a luxury buffet - maybe butlins buffet). Service was excellent, but they work for tips so you would expect this. Sea was not great and if you want to take the buggy tour it was another $50 we declined this
4. The second stop was in the downtown, they drop you off in a shop I am sure not by co-incidence the hard sell starts now. The area itself was the worst example of touristville I have ever seen, constant selling everywhere you walk and the beach (which is apparently one of the best the best beaches was shocking, people everywhere and again being hounded to buy things constantly). You then meet back at the shop where unsurprisingly they are 15mins late to collect you, of course the shop can then try to sell you something. A polite no (or 5) doesn’t work they are persistent!
It’s not the staffs fault clearly just the business model but unless Benidorm is your thing avoid this

A Disappointing Excursion: Mismanaged and Overrated - Would never recommend this excursiuon to anyone.
We read several other reviews with low scores. Your responses were excuses and shifting blame for the negative experience YOU provided. You blame the travel booking place, the resort, and misinformation. It is up to YOU to provide the correct information and to make sure your customers are treated well. No one else’s. Your fault. Gaslighting every bad review making it our fault for not understanding, makes you look worse. Explain things when we arrive. Set the expectations properly.
Oliver, the guide, was more concerned with trying to make jokes and push alcohol than anything else. Oliver told the people next to us that the original catamaran was in for service so we got this smaller one. There was only one mat for 13 people to lay on and be comfortable.
Like other reviews, things were not explained well. Here is your life jackets get ready because we are snorkeling first. They left it up to us to make sure things worked properly before being ushered to the back and then told to jump in the water. BIG MINUS - they NEVER asked what level of a swimmer anyone was nor what the plan was. I am a great swimmer with advanced scuba, but my wife is not, but would be ok with the support of a lifejacket and flippers (she was perfect in Belize and enjoyed herself 10,000% more than this).
On the brochures it states snorkeling gear provided with a picture of flippers. We have our own custom masks so we were waiting for the flippers. Nope. We were told to jump now. My wife turned to the 2 girls behind us and said “flippers”, they waved and said “no flippers, bye bye”. Oliver, had flippers and just took off. Never checked on the safety or status of the rest of us. Never checked if anyone’s gear was faulty or on properly. My wife panicked a little and turned to go back to the boat. It was gone. Yep, within 30 seconds it had already left and went to the pick up spot. Luckily I am very strong in the water so she held on to me the entire time and I swam for both. We tried to get the attention of Oliver for help with the life ring, but nope he was on a mission. Flippers would have solved this problem.
Next was the “drinks and snacks”. Might as well have said this was an alcohol only cruise. We don’t drink and the only choice was Fresca or Coke that they wanted to save for the rum. The snacks were pathetic. Apple, banana, and a cereal bar.
The first stop was the jewelry shop and we were already tired of the pushiness sales tactics. They were rude if you did not want to talk to them. The north “beach” was really not good and they wanted 200 pesos to sit on a chair. All Chinese made souveniers. Nothing unique or special.
The bufffet at Amazon was descent. We actually were able to get non-alcoholic drinks that were OK. Food was good, but not outstanding.
Golf carts were included, but had to share and only follow Oliver. We stopped at, yep, another tourist trap. The views were beautiful, but the pushiness ruined it. Bathrooms cost 10 pesos to use. Then it was a race around the island. No more stops, just driving. See below for a description that comes direct from the ticket.
**This is one of our private TUI Collection experiences, which give you a local flavour of the destination while offering you the FREEDOM AND FLEXIBILITY TO ENJOY THE DAY YOUR WAY.**
Near the end of the excursion we were given little review slips with happy to sad face emojis to rate our experience. I put exactly how we felt and Oliver went through all the slips then started grilling my wife why we gave such bad feedback. He offered excuses about the time of year and the water being rougher. That was irrelevant. Overall it was horrible.
Oliver said several times on the way back how important tips were and then walked around with a little chest to put money in. Really? How about we tip if we liked the service not because you hound us. Especially after you knew we did not enjoy things.
The Captain was the best part of the trip. He let some of us steer the catamaran on the way back.
Now let their excuses begin...

What they promise, is not at all what you get. - This excursion is a joke. We booked it through our hotel at $159 pp and there were 8 of us. We were told the catamaran had a hammock net on the front of the boat, there would be snacks, we would make 2 stops at the most beautiful beaches. How it really went was it took us about 1.5 hours (coming from Playa del Carmen) in a very crammed van stopping along the way to pick up other people from other resorts. We finally get to the catamaran and it does not have a net. Instead it has very hard wooden boards to sit on. The catamaran was VERY crowded. There was no room to spread out, dance, relax, etc. You had to just sit because there were so many people. We first stop to snorkel. We didn't see many fish but we did see a statue of somekind they placed in the water. Next stop was in a random area - where the water was very blue and we were invited to "swim" around the boat if we wanted. Next stop was at the beach club, where we were asked (for an additional charge) to rent a golf cart to tour the island. We decided this would be fun, but what they don't say, is all 30 golf carts have to stay in a line and follow each other so there really is no "exploring". After exploring we went back to the beach club and had lunch and time to enjoy the beach. The water and beach were ok at best. Sand felt slimy. Beach felt run down. The buffet was ok but there were a ton of people so we had to stand in line for quite some time. After we left and loaded up back on the catamaran to go to the other side of the island for the other great beach. Well, what that really meant was, they dropped us off in town, brought us to a jewelry store where we got a bracelette so we could use the restroom there and we were given 2 hours to shop in town. We wanted a beach, but would have had to take a taxi to another beach which was public so we decided to go to a local restaurant and just have a drink. Our 8 drinks costed us $150 USD so after our 1 drink each, we decided to just go back on the catamaran and hang out there. Even though its tied up to the pier, we could enjoy being on a mostly empty boat and the alcohol is free. BUT - when we walked back to the boat, the crew was sleeping and told us we could not get back on the boat until 4pm. So, we went to the 711 on the corner and bought a 12 pack of beer and drank it while sitting on the corner like homeless people. This excursion costed us over $500 for 2 people when it was all said and done. They took photos - send you a digital link for only $150. They upsell you on the golf carts at $50 each... The staff on the boat was good. Safety was a concern and the drinks were flowing. The actual excursion really sucked and I would not recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a catamaran / beach / party / fun excursion - this is not it.

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND TRIP - This is not a "Platinum" experience despite the high price tag. The catamaran was crammed full. I was told there would be snacks and towels on board (nope), no towels at the beach club either, they gave us a 4 minute warning before snorkelling and by the time I used the restroom and put my gear on they said it was too late to join the group, you can only snorkel if you are a strong swimmer since the current is quite strong. At Isla Mujeres, they drop you at Amazona Beach Club--the meat was undercooked, and they wouldn't give us bottles of water when we asked. The meet up point in Isla Mujeres is a jewellery shop where the service was unbelievable rude -- I was about to buy something but I refused in the end. This trip is not suitable for people with mobility issues. I paid $155 pp for this experience (14 people). It was terrible. I had to pay a $5 docking fee per person in cash. Just use an Uber + Ferry to visit Isla and save your money and sanity.
