AMAZING EXPERIENCE! - My husband and I came to Cancún for our honeymoon and did several excursions- this was by FAR one of our favorites. The show was amazing and the actors were phenomenal! Food was great, service was great, everything was great! No complaints. This is an excursion for ALL ages. We will definitely be coming back with our kids!

Raxes is the best! - This show is amazing!!! If you ar anywhere near Cancun, do yourself a favor and check it out. So much fun! Raxes is the best private pirate. I mentioned casually that we were in Mexico for my son's birthday and he brought out desert with a sparkler without asking. Amazing.

Sensational - Fantastic, all the actors strive to attend you and do their job very well, dinner was well prepared and drinks never lacked. It's a show I'd definitely return to. Our pirate “Hunter” took the night for 3 great scenes, you have to see it.

Show and Dinner at the Jolly Roger - It was great fun the show, great music and amazing drinks, meat menu and vegetarian menu, overall exceptional atmosphere. Hunter attended us excellently, very helpful, friendly and with a great performance in the show very impressive when he jumped ship!

Fam of 4 with young kids highly recommends it - Our fam had a blast. The only thing that would’ve made it better would be getting dinner earlier for our kids (7 and 5). We left shore at 6:15pm, they had a 90min show, and we didn’t get served until almost 8:30pm. The order of serving seems to be tied to order of check-in, so if you want served sooner I would check-in early. On the plus side, since we checked in last we had front row seats and the kids got pulled into the show. The kids meals weren’t great (worse than Kraft mac and cheese), so they didn’t really eat anyway. They have popcorn and nachos starting around 7pm…would recommend grabbing those (or eating before hand). Honestly, the show itself was worth it regardless of the food. The kids loved it, it wasn’t too scary, and the crew was incredibly kid-friendly. Face painting was $10/ea. Family photo was $35 (you are also encouraged to take your own photos). Both quite reasonable. We didn’t shuttle as we stayed at the nearby resorts and just walked over from the beach.

Divinely divine! - No Doubt the best ride! Fun guaranteed! Wonderful music! Divine attention!! My waiter is the racket I think! Divine a darling !!!! Wonderful food!! Never imagined I would have such fun!!

Lots of waiting! Not for young kids! - As I read the reviews I see many people have the same issues but the Jolly Roger people keep ignoring them. Waiting 45 minutes in the blazing sun just to check-in is crazy. A girl goes one by one explaining the menu, taking your order and trying to upsell you. Then you wait again to have a big enough crowd get through to get a pirate to take you to the boat where they believe pouring tequila down your throat throughout the evening will make you forget… all the waiting. The crew/actors are fabulous but there is a LOT of downtime. Kids get taken to their activities only about 15 minutes. The rest of the time they are expected to sit and watch a show that that is quite impossible to follow because every phrase is said in Spanish and then repeated in English which summarizes the problem with this dinner show. They want to be everything to everyone, and that is impossible. You can’t cater to the drunk springbreakers as well as to children and to couples seeking a romantic voyage as well as those seeking adventure. They provide cheap alcohol for almost 4 hours, but nothing to eat. A pathetic serving of nachos or a small very small bag of popcorn costs $5 US. They advertise face painting, but that is $10. Everywhere you turn they are trying to upsell you while the rest get drunker. They oversell the tour then do not have enough tables to serve everyone at once so our small children had to wait almost until nine to have dinner! The crew kindly explained they were waiting for people to get up from their tables. But many of them could hardly even walk. The children’s food is terrible. And to top it all off because they served us so late the children missed the fireworks. I am giving it two stars because of the crew otherwise it is a typical tourist trap where the managers or owners dont care about your feedback. Eugenia

Lousy family experience - Lousy service, we paid on their website and on arrival they made us pay again, the food sucks, the cocktwles made with cheap alcohol and dwmoran a lot in serving them, I would never return and I would never recommend it. If you see this review definitely go to captain hook.
