A highlight of our whole trip! - We had an absolutely amazing time in our cooking class. Both hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home in their kitchen. We learned so much and it was a great experience getting to cook in a Mexican home with experienced chefs. I would highly recommend it!

Wonderful time cooking with Chef Alberto and Doña Lily - Chef Alberto's cooking class was outstanding! He and his mother, Doña Lily made us feel so welcome in their home, which was enchanting. They showed us how to make cochinita pibil, along with tortillas, red sauce, green sauce, stuffed apple pepper with cream, rajas (strips of poblano peppers with onion slices, garlic, corn and cream), blue and white corn tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo, all from scratch--we roasted the poblano peppers, roasted the tomatoes, and made everything by hand. Chef Alberto even made margaritas, and then we got to eat everything. Delicious! And they were very patient when we messed up some of the tortillas, and super-friendly. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this cooking class with Chef Alberto and his mother Lily. The menu is determined by which day of the week you go. We will try to come back on a Wednesday so we can make Chicken Mole!

A wonderful, delicious, and memorable experience! - Chef Alberto and his mother Lily were so welcoming to have my mom and I in their home for this memorable experience. It was so wonderful to be able to prepare and cook such a delicious meal including all delicious fresh ingredients and the knowledge behind so many things that were included throughout this experience! Such a great experience and highly recommend this excursion for anyone looking for an authentic cooking experience!!

Amazing food and wonderful chef! - Chef Alberto and his mother were wonderful. We learned how to make tortillas that were the best we’ve had. All the salsas and guacamole were so fresh. Even the salt was from a local beach! We loved every dish we made. Go hungry! Chef Alberto explains everything and was great about answering our questions about food, the culture and anything else. We are already planning to do another class next time! Highly recommend this fun and relaxed cooking and eating experience.

Fun and learning combined in one. A great meal to boot. - Such a fun experience! Great food!! So much to choose from and an excellent chef to guide us through every step. His mother was also there as an assistant, and she was delightful. It was a cultural experience, and he also provides all the recipes for his dishes so we can make it at home.

BEST COOKING CLASS EVER - What an amazing experience! Before taking this cooking class I had no expectations and now leaving it I can say my entire trip was made from this experience! Alberto and his mother made us feel right at home as we made our 4 course meal! Having not taken a class before I’d wondered if I’d fall behind as the cooking occurred but Alberto ensured that we had an easy and DELICIOUS experience! If you find yourself in Cancun this is a once in a lifetime experience you can not miss out on!

The most heartwarming experience ever! - This was the highlight of our entire trip to Cancun. I had gone with my boyfriend and his twin brother and we were welcomed with open arms by chef Alberto and his mother. They are a great conversationalist, and genuinely made us feel like we were at home. I'll go back to Cancun just for this trip, and I'm hoping that chef comes to Chicago soon so you can have us experience again. It's nice because it doesn't feel too touristy to do, and you still learn about the Mexican culture. The people and food is always a joy to leArn about. we made a lot of different food, the salsas were so good. He had made one of the day prior, and it was so good. We have to take it home. Everything was so beautiful, and I didn’t want that experience to end. If you want something more personal to do when you go to Cancun, I definitely recommend booking this!! ❤️❤️❤️

An Experience of a Lifetime - This was hands down the greatest experience of our entire trip. Probably the best experience of any trip I've ever taken. It was surreal to go to someone's home, cook, laugh, talk, and enjoy a real fresh-cooked meal. Chef Alberto and his mom Lily are the greatest. The food we made was incredible and it was so nice to do something that was not full of tourists and noise and being rushed. I cannot recommend this enough if you are wanting something unique and extremely memorable. I would give this 10 stars if I could. For the food, we made handmade salsa's, real guacamole, roasted poblano with onions, homemade tortillas, and the flavors were just incredible. Thank you to Alberto and Lily for doing this.

AMAZING Cooking Class and Dinner - We had such a great time with Chef Alberto and Lily - they came to our condo and gave us a private cooking class where we made tamales, salsas, guacamole and tortillas. The food was delicious and we so enjoyed getting to know Chef and Lily! 10/10 recommend! Looking forward to taking another class next time we are back.
