Amazing experience! - This trip was absolutely amazing, communication was above and beyond and the trip was better then any other trip we have ever done. The price almost seemed to good to be true but it wasn't and it was absolutely worth more then the cost!

Personalized View of Sea Turtles - Darwin led our group as he discovered and pointed out 12 sea turtles during our time with him. He shared stories about the turtles and the ways in which they have been affected by humans through the years. It was fun and educational time. (If you are not a strong swimmer, he will pull you as you hold on to a lifesaver.)

Wonderful! - Fantastic trip! We met Darwin at 7.50am and we're in the water not long after 8am, and were the only ones there. We saw a few turtles, lots of fish at the reef & also stringray! The turtles were amazing, so much bigger than I imagined. Darwin took lots of great videos and photos that were shared with us after. Would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to do a turtle trip without the big crowds/groups.

Wow, what an experience. - From the moment I contacted Darwin before we flew to Mexico about his snorkelling tour right through to us having one of the experiences of our lives I have nothing but positive things to say about him and the tour he provided. We met him at Akumal Beach Dive Centre at 820am and were in the water with the turtles (without the crowds) by 845am. We saw many turtles, fish and a stingray in our 50 minutes in the water. His knowledge and passion for these beautiful creatures comes through where we were given the rules before we entered the water (no touching, splashing etc) but we also had all the facts and figures on the turtles themselves. If you can get up, book an early time with Darwin before the crowds arrive. 5 star, A1, Magnífico.

The best trip you can do! - Darwin is absolutely amazing. His care and information about the excursion is unbelievable. He took hundreds of photos and videos for us. I would do this over and over again for the experience provided. He is truly a gentleman. 100% is a must do excursion

Ethical Sea Turtle Viewing Experience with Marine Life Akumal Mx - It was a phenomenal experience. From booking until leaving the Akumal Park, it could not have been better. The communication upon booking was frequent and clear. The price was the lowest of any of the other sea turtle viewing experiences that were available. There was no combination with ATV rides, visits to Playa Del Carmen or transportation (we had a rented car), none of which I wanted. Upon entering the park, like many tourist sites and experiences, many people approach you offering their services. As soon as we mentioned that we were meeting Darwin, the owner of Marine Life Akumal MX, everyone that approached us was friendly and directed us where to meet Darwin. When we got out of our car we saw a family of Coati’s on the edge of the parking lot. Darwin met us as we approached the entrance to the beach access and made sure that we received our locker lock (a refundable deposit). Darwin “reserved” a palapa for us where we could leave our towels and stay after the snorkeling trip. We were able to see many turtles, a sting ray, barracuda and beautiful fish in the hour that we spent with Darwin, at close range. It was important to me to find an ethical and knowledgeable guide on our snorkeling excursion and Darwin exceeded my expectations. Not only did he ensure that the turtles were not frightened and overwhelmed by our group of 3 but when other people were chasing turtles, he made them stop and explained that that it was disruptive to the turtles wellbeing. When I could not keep up with others (I’m a bit out of shape), Darwin threw me a floating tied to a rope and dragged me along to keep pace. I would strongly recommend Marine Life Akumal MX and Darwin to anyone who wants to see sea life at close range, especially sea turtles, in the most ethical and least disturbing manner (for the sea life) possible.

Amazing snorkeling with turtles! - Darwin was a great guide that guide us into the water to see these beautiful turtles swimming and feeding! Also Marlene was really nice she came at the collectivos stop to pick up us and bring us to the akumal beach, highly recommend!
