Long day but great - This was a very informative tour due to our guide Rodrigo, who was very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture. Rodrigo was very personable and funny. Our driver, Carlos, was great and safe. In Coba. It's best to get the rickshaw ($10) or bicycle ($5) to do the tour since it's a long walk to the end. Bring your own reusable cup for walk in Tulum, no plastic water bottles allowed. The cenote was ok, the lunch was good.

Great..... BUT - I want to start by saying that Rodrigo and Carlos made the trip. Rodrigo the guide, was the most knowledgeable, personable, entertaining guide I have had on any trip, in any country. Carlos was a great driversecurity as well. My wife is prone to get motion sickness in the back of vehicles if not driven nice and smooth. She was perfectly fine, which was great. I rated this tour 5 stars, but I do have some pretty big complaints and, I do not think I would do it again. From Cancun this is a LONG day. It will depend on how many people are getting picked up for your tour and from where. We were one of the 1st groups to be picked up. But not one of the 1st ones to be dropped off due to logistics of the travel. The result was from the time of pickup to drop off, we on this trip for 13.5 hours. Of that time roughly 7 of those hours were on the little bus filled with 16 people. It was great to be able to visit the archeological sites and learn the history of Tulum. Rodrigo did an amazing job explaining Mayan beliefs, history and knowledge. However there was just not enough time to really take it all in and actually see everything the site had to offer. It was very rushed. At Coba, I was even leas pleased. At that location you are on your own. No guide. You can walk, rent a bike, or pay to be driven around by a local in a little bikecart. They may speak english, may not. They may know what they are showing you, may not. This site is MASSIVE and you will not even come close to seeing 13 of it in the amount of time given. When we went the place was under pretty heavy restoration and upgrading. You could not walk onclimb on any of the ruins like I have seen so many previous reviewers say they did. So it was cool to see, but at the end of the day I have no idea what I was actually looking at because there was no guide to speak of. Finally the cenote. Again an amazing experience. We were on our own again, in this case that was fine. The cavern tour for extra cost is worth every penny. It made the whole trip. My biggest grip here was the changing situation. My wife and teen daughter were in regular clothes and needed to change inout of their swimsuits. The lockerchanging area was shared with men, women and children. There are small stalls with some old rotted plywood between them, but there was NO DOORS or covers on the front. Really? That may be ok to the locals or to some from other countries, but we were very uncomfortable having grown men walk past an open stall with our teenage girl getting changed. Super weird and uncomfortable. I recommend wearing your swim suit under your clothes and leaving enough time to mostly dry off before getting back in the bus for anyone wanting to avoid this. Better yet, the facility running this place should spend a couple dollars and at least hang some friggin shower curtains from a cable. No excuse for the way this was arranged. The ride home was also supposed to allow for a stop in Playa Del Carmen for a short shopping trip. That didnt happen. We ran out of time. So the moral of my rant here is this. All of the negative things I said would have been present in any tour of these locations given the same amount of time. But I do not feel that any guidedriver could have done a better job. So my review reflects the quilty of service I received from Amigo tours and their workers. My personal recommendation however is, if you have more to spend, I would would without question pay more to get a private tour for your group only. Cut out all the nonsense with the extra stops and it will give much more time to enjoy the sites.

Great experience! - Rodrigues was so full of information, humble in his knowledge, education, linguistic assets Had so much to share with us - traditions — amazing history - just a fabulous educator Carlos was the best driver, safe, cautious, aware of what his passengers’ needs were. Long day but worth it — only negative - if you have claustrophobia or motion sickness hope you are picked up first otherwise - no air or visibility from the very back of the van. Had there not been a seat where the guide had his gear I would have had to get out of the van. All in all a positive experience. ~Denise y Michelle~

Most recommended - Excellent tour for those who are interested in learning the Mayan culture and the landmarks. - Excellent tour for those who are interested in history and learning more about the Mayan ruins. Our tour guide was Rodrego and he was from the Mayan community. He is an excellent knowledgable guide who knows the ins and outs of the culture and about the landmarks. There was an AC tourist coach and I recommend getting the 5 AM tour so that you can skip the long lines at Tulum and Coba. There are shops near Tulum so that you can get a decent breakfast for 20 USD. The only disappointment was the cenote at the end of the tour - there was no proper locker system and changing rooms - better keep your belongings at the coach itself. Overall it was a good experience !!!

Tulum and tequila tasting - The trip to Tulum was great. Enjoyed learning about Mayan culture and seeing the ruins. I have a greater appreciation and respect for the ancient Mayans. The tour guides. Manuel, Tomas and Arturo were quite knowledgeable. Didn't know there were so many different tequila flavors.

Tulúm tour - Manuel was clearly knowledgeable but balanced it with a relaxed pace and sense of humor that was refreshing. Other tours were just-go, go, go which combined with the climate was too much for us to sustain for 10+hours. This was the best tour we went on in Cancun

Skip - 1. The company claims to include pick up but advised me to meet them 20minute away from my hotel even though they pass my hotel on the way there and back. The driver dropped me at an unknown location and I had to ask locals to get to the meeting stop since I had no internet. 2. The tour will advise you to get a bike or have a ride to the Coba archeological sites and tell you you wouldn’t be able to see anything if you walk (false). Just lies to get you to keep buying 3. The tour was mid. I would skip if you’re not big on history because I’ve seen better cenotes.
