Ruins & Cenote - The ruins were nice and cenote was beautiful. However, the van was way too tight. They should remove a row of seats for comfort because depending on where you are coming from, the drive can be long! The Viator site should mention $25 USD additional cash is needed after ticket purchase. We were told via What’s App but we were not told to communicate on what’s app. The cenote had lots of bats in the cave but that is to be expected as well. Overall, I still enjoyed the trip and the tour guides.

Nice trip! - Hi, It was a great visit, but it was beyond hot and humid. I was with a group of girls and we could barely breathe. They wouldn't allow us to bring water with us. That wasn't right. One of the girls I thought would pass out from the heat, humidity and no water allowed. It was rough. The Cenote was great, the food, the cave, etc. The ruins were great, but hard to enjoy in that heat.

Alls well that ends well. - Overall the tour was good , except for the 40 minute late pick up. Our guide Abbi ,said he texted me and showed me the text when he arrived , but I didn’t recieve it. (Bad cell service I suppose.) -Apparently there were multiple hotel pick ups and traffic. Nevertheless, once at the Tulum Mayan Ruins it was beautiful & hot. Tip- Definitely wear a hat to shield from the sun. Our onsite guide was very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. We recieved a great history lesson on ancient Mayan culture. After viewing the ruins we headed to The Cenote which we found to be very cool & refreshing . They have a small snack stand there that you can purchase burgers & tacos . After leaving the Cenote we headed back. I wish we would have had time to see some more sights on the way back and our tour guide had narrated things on the way to & fro. Nevertheless, we had a great driver Felipe who got us there & back safe and sound .

Unfortunately, worst excursion ever! - To avoid a major disappointment, this is an important read. Because I highly respect TripAdvisor and have paid for many excursions on their site, by far, this was the worst excursion ever. Although not complaining, we were supposed to get picked up at 8 a.m. for a 2 hour ride to Tulum. However, the pick up time changed to 7:30 a.m., and we arrived to Tulum 3 hours later. Our driver, who was brand new, got lost. He also didn’t speak to passengers the entire three hour ride. Two plus hours into the ride, a Spanish speaking passenger finally asked him to at least turn on some music. HERE COMES THE WORST PART: We arrived to Tulum at 11 a.m., and after being allowed a quick restroom break, our tour started at approximately 11:15 a.m. The company’s tour guide divided our group into two and told us to be back to the meeting point at noon. Sadly, the group that I was in was handed off to someone who works at the Tulum Mayan Ruins’ site. He told us he was doing the company a favor by walking us to the actual ruins site. It took 20-25 minutes walking to finally reach the ruins. The entire time, we had no tour guide hearing devices. Instead, the guide spent most of the time typing or texting on his phone. When we finally arrived to the ruins ‘site, it was approximately 11:40 a.m. Without providing any information about the ruins, the tour guide said he was leaving and told us to make two rights to get back to our meeting spot. Mind me, it’s now 11:45 a.m. and we haven’t toured the site and we have 15 minutes to make it back to the meeting spot which is a 20-25 minute walk. Sadly, the instructions the guide gave us were incorrect. He never told us to take a left. Therefore, when we finally made it back to the meeting spot, our group was not there. We then headed to where the bus was parked and we saw the bus pulling off without us, while our backpacks were still on the bus, which is where we were required to leave them. Following the bus was the company’s van that originally picked us up. We had to run as fast as we could and literally bang on the back of the van window before the bus pulled onto the main road. Sadly, other passengers weren’t so lucky and completely got left behind with their personal items still on the bus. The van then caught up with the bus which we followed to Cenote Swim Hole, where we stayed two full hours but had absolutely no time to tour the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, which we paid $25 USD to tour, and seeing the ruins was honestly the main reason we went on the excursion. Julio, the tour guide for half the group claimed that Mexico’s Prime Minister limits Tulum Mayan Ruin visits to 20 minutes because of the heat. I researched his comment and found it to be completely untrue. Even if it were true, their excursion advertisement should have indicated such. In summary, what could have been a beautiful excursion was completely a disaster. The company failed up big time! They actually need to refund us the $25 per person paid to tour the Tulum Mayan Ruins, which their own rushed schedule did not allow us to tour.
