Ruins made interesting and brought to life - It was a long walk in 100 degrees during September, only caned water was allowed to be taken there. Remember to take an umbrella with you. The Tour guide was highly knowledgeable and interesting. She explained the history, geography and culture of Mayans in Tulúm.

Great family adventure. - Beautiful and filled with history and nature. Mary was a wonderful guide, informative and helpful. Cenote was a refreshing second part after the tour of the ruins. Amazing architecture for the time period. Fascinating how it was built and has withstood for centuries. Great family outing for the whole group.

Awesome Cancun Travel Experience! - My husband and I both enjoyed our tour to the Tulum Ruins. Our tour guide Mary and driver Felipe are true professionals! Mary was the best, and it is clear that she is passionate about what she does. Not only did she answer anticipated questions, she spaced out and timed the tour with perfection. We greatly enjoyed the tour of the ruins and the refreshing swim in the cenote was awesome! Communication from the company was excellent and the transportation pick up and drop off was seamless. We also booked our private transportation to/from the airport to our hotel with the same company and it was amazing! I highly recommend this tour and booking experience and will use them in the future without hesitation.

Fun Day Trip - We were the first to be picked up at 7:15 AM. There were 4 other stops to make on the way for pickups (not too bad in my opinion). This made the total journey time ~ 3 hours. Once at Tulum, Jerry did a fantastic job telling us what to watch out for as we made our way through the hectic surroundings. Inside, he gave a very informative presentation for ~ 45 minutes and then we got ~ 45 minutes to explore on our own. Following this, we went back by the entrance where there is a taco stand and all had lunch. The fish tacos here were the best I have ever had. Following lunch, we all got back on the shuttle and took a short ride over to the Cenote. The tour was worth it for the Cenote alone. Beautiful setting and perfect waters for taking a swim after walking around Tulum for a few hours. We got ~ 1 hour at the Cenote and then boarded the bus again. We got back to our hotel ~ 4:30. This is definitely a full day excursion. Yes, there is a lot of time in the shuttle. I saw the direct pickup at the hotel as a convenience as opposed to having to meet somewhere and then get picked up. At this price point, I don't think you will find anything else that is offering a "quicker" trip to Tulum that includes pickup right at your front door. Overall, I enjoyed the trip quite a bit (probably not great for my 5 and 7 year old though with all of the waiting and heat).

Great Cultural History and Experience - Omar was an amazing tour guide. He gave a great history lesson on the Mayan Ruins as well as went over all rules and restrictions of the area and what to expect. He did the same with our Cenote visit and made it as smooth and enjoyable as it could be! Our van developed a huge oil leak on the way back from Tulum to Cancun. We had to wait approximately an hour for a replacement van. Omar was great at handling the situation and communicating the situation at hand while waiting.

Ask for Jerry - I loved our excursion. Jerry was very knowledgeable and very personable. I can tell he enjoys interacting with the group and he did an amazing job of teaching us about the Mayan culture. The cenote was beautiful. 10/10 would recommend and special shout out to Rene!

Great experience, pack plan appropriately - Tour guide Mari was very knowledgeable about the history of the ruins and a good storyteller. She even had photos to highlight the customs of the Mayan people. The visit to Cenote Puerta Maya Akumal was amazing, easy to access the water (not too many stairs), not crowded, and the tacos al pastor were delish. The driver, David, was timely and the ride was comfortable. Things to consider: no plastics or glass allowed at the ruins, pack an insulated or aluminum water bottle. Summer months are hot and humid, bring hydration sticks like Liquid IV or some other electrolytes. Bring a small umbrella for extra shade/sun protection. Although the activity is listed for 8 hours, consider planning other same day activities after 18:00 (6:00pm).

Fun day in Tulum - Mari was great tour guide. She was very informative and a joy to be around. My only recommendation on the whole experience would be to try to plan out the resorts other people were staying at closer together. One family was picked up at 7 15 while our pick up time was 9 15. I understand having to fill the bus load. But seemed little too far apart. Other than that the expierence was great and learned alot :)

Almost became a heat casualty - The tour itself was great but we should have been notified that you can’t take water bottles with you. The heat in August is brutal but it was compounded by the fact that we couldn’t take water with us on the tour. The cenote was awesome and the tacos available for purchase were really good! Overall I would recommend this tour but make sure to have an insulated water bottle if you plan to go during the summer months.
