Excellent sampler tour - We loved this tour! Guides Carlos and Ramón were great: warm, funny, informative and also very genuine and warm in their telling of the history and cultural significance of places and traditions. Day trips with multiple stops are challenging but they kept great time and balanced the guided portions with the exploration very well. The bus is modern enough and comfortable, the driver very efficient. I loved Tulum and the cenote was beautiful, would have liked more time there but it was very enjoyable for the allotted time. Originally, I had booked an option which didn’t include the buffet lunch and Ramón explained how to opt in on the spot and very quickly we could sit down for a delicious meal with the rest of the group. Playa del Carmen was also a fun stop. We left satisfied and looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

Cultural knowledge and history of Mayan and understanding Mexican culture - Trip was in a well maintained coach and the guide was informative and helpful in explaining about the Mayan culture. The meaning on Tulum and the significance of the location as well as the level of astronomical knowledge of the Mayans upper class.

Good tour although they do not inform you well the full cost. - The tour we really liked. The cenotes and the archaeological area are very worthwhile. The problem is that you end up paying 50% more than the tour costs because the tickets to the sites charge you separately (they charge more than the tickets actually cost); and they do not inform you that the archaeological zones have preferential price, and even on Sundays they are free for Mexicans, so if you do not tell them they charge you the same as for foreigners. Another problem is that everything is reported to you in dollars and if you ask to pay in pesos, they convert dollars as if the local currency were the dollar. From there on out is a very good tour, on time, friendly and all well organized.

Description is a lie. This is a different tour - The tour description is a lie. You only have like 45 min in Tulum and you will only see a small portion of the site. There is also no free time to explore, like the description says. It is all guided. They also drop you off at the shops in Playa del Carmen for 2 hours, which is not in the description. The whole day takes 12 hours, not 6-7. The cenote is as described. And the tour guides are amazing. They just clearly aren’t given the same instructions as this ad describes. If you only want 45 minutes to take a few pictures at Tulum, then have a good lunch/swim in a cenote, walk around the little market in Playa del Carmen for 2 hours, then this is actually a great tour. It’s just not what we wanted or paid for. We booked specifically because it said we would have over an hour to explore Tulum after the guided tour, and that doesn’t happen.

Not Worth Over $50 Per Person.... - The Tulum tour was very underwhelming. While we got some great information about the Mayan history, it was only around 30 minutes before we were sent off to take pictures on our own for 20 minutes. We hadn't looked around enough structures at Tulum. We went straight to a cenote and a buffet lunch but it wasn't enough time to do both in just 1.5 hours. There wasn't enough time to go back for seconds and changing and showering took time too. We then wasted even more time at Playa del Carmen to shop around for 1.5 hours, making this experience feel like a tourist trap. I've seen better and cheaper souvenirs in Cancun so my sister and I didn't buy anything. Instead of spending time here, we could've explored another cenote and ate lunch more comfortably. This whole day was so rushed. I had so many high hopes from the reviews but was scammed and wish we could've explored Tulum and its cenotes on our own. Going on your own or booking another tour is the best option.
