Worth the trip with one issue - If you are picked up in Cancun be ready for a long day. We met another van with people that were already picked up and by the time everyone got in the van it was packed and stuffy. This was my only complaint so if you are claustrophobic like I am be ready to take your medication. The Tulum ruins are interesting and we suggest seeing these ruins before going to Chichen Itza as these ruins aren’t as spectacular. We went to the Cenote after and it is very quiet and off the main road a bit. Very lovely and the best Al Pastor tacos I’ve ever had. Bathrooms at most locations are relatively primitive but do the job. Overall I would recommend this tour. The driver and guide were so nice.

Great Experience, But Challenging with a Baby - We went as a family-my mom, sister, baby, and me. I wanted to have fun and not just stay at the resort all day but to explore Mexico. While traveling with a baby is challenging, it's definitely possible. We booked private service and a private guide. The ruins were fascinating, though our guide wasn't very informative-he provided about 5% of the information we expected, but that's another story. The site was very crowded, and since I was holding the baby during the excursion, it was unfortunate that we couldn't bring a stroller. It also rained heavily during our visit, but we still tried to make the most of it and enjoy the ruins. I would definitely recommend the experience, as the ruins are interesting, but traveling with a baby or small children can be a bit difficult. The cenote tour was amazing, but we weren't provided life jackets, which seemed odd, especially considering the depth of the water. So, if you have kids, I wouldn't recommend it. However, after a long, hot excursion, it was a refreshing reward. Overall, I'm really glad we had private transportation and a guide-it made the experience much more comfortable.

Both experiences were nice - Nice Trip and the guide was good. The van transport was fair to good. We felt safe and the amount of time spent was fine. From Cancun the travel time was 2 hours each way, plus pickup of others added another hour.
