Great day trip with an early start. Highly recommended! - It was a great, small group (11 people) day trip in a minivan. The early start (pickup around 5am) gave us an advantage to avoid the crowd in Tulum. Our guide was Omar, a nice guy who gave us interesting insights about the places we visited and he was always there if we had any question. Our driver was José. We felt safe in the van during the whole journey. He never left the van unattended, so we could keep our valuables in there if we wanted to. This day trip was a great experience, 10/10 for the money. Locations were worth visiting and I would highly suggest anyone to choose it. If we had more time in Mexico we would definitely have checked in for another trip of Amigo tours! Our two notes for improvement would be to make the online itinerary accurate and maybe include some informations in the additional informations section. 1. The time spent at Coba and the cenote was different from the times mentioned in the online itinerary. Probably because they included the travel times in them. At the beginning of the trip our guide made clear how much time we will spend at each site, it was just the online tripadvisor tour description which was misleading. However, it was a 12 hour long day for us, even longer day for our driver and guide, so this was more than understandable and logical. Still, it would be nice to clarify this before the trip to manage expectations. Actual times at each location were. Tulum: around 90 minutes at the archeological site and 30 minutes free time for breakfast and coffee. (So this one was correct in the online description.) Coba: it was around 80 minutes, 10 minutes entering and briefing, 60 minutes free time, 10 minutes gathering. Cenote: about 60 minutes which included lunch time, this gave around 20-30 minutes for the cenote with cloth changing and everything. An extra 30 minutes at the cenote would have been very nice. But as I mentioned above, it was a very long day for our guides. This is just the nature of day trips with multiple locations in this area, due to long distances and travel times you can't spend too much time on each location. Regardless we really enjoyed the experience! 2. Additional informations, good to knows, tips and tricks: - Due to local regulations you can't bring one use plastics and water bottles into Tulum archeological site. If you want to bring water in there, bring a reusable flask or you can buy one in the shop before entering. We didn't had a flask, left our water in the van, but drank water before entering and after exiting the park and were fine with that. - Due to local regulations you cannot climb the stairs of Nohoch Mul in Coba. Still a great experience, just good to know before booking the trip. - The breakfast at Tulum is optional and on self cost. We just had a coffee, make sure to ask it for takeaway, as it could take up to 10-15 minutes to complete your order. - The included lunch is a late lunch at the end of the trip, around 14:30-15:00 at the cenote. It varies trip to trip if you'll have lunch first and swim later or the other way around. - The most part of the cenote is a cave without light. If you want to fully explore it, you'll better bring a waterproof flashlight. - If you decide to bring some sandwiches or other food with you for the ride then don't place it on the van's floor as it get's pretty hot. This is completely normal with these vehicles, we were just unaware of this. - Soma bug spray can come in handy at Coba.

Fun experience. Glad we did this. - Fun experience! Our tour guide Omar was very knowledgeable and friendly. He kept us informed of our status, what we were doing next, how long the drive was, the stay at each place, etc. Our driver Jose was a good driver and kept us safe and comfortable. We really enjoyed the experience!

Stress free Tulum & Coba Tour - We had a wonderful experience on this tour to Tulum and Coba. The early morning pick-up was worth it to avoid the crowds, and the small group of just six people made it feel more personal. The tour was very educational, with fascinating insights into Mayan history. At Coba, it’s recommend hiring bikes as the site is large, and two hours isn’t enough to see it all on foot. The cenote at the end was refreshing, and the buffet lunch was basic with pasta as the vegetarian option. Special thanks to our guide Marcela and driver Jose, who were both fantastic! Highly recommend but be aware it’s a long day about 12 hours from hotel collection to drop off from Playa del Carmen.

Great tour and worth every penny!!!!! - Isaac the tour guide and Robert (driver) were a great company. Isaac explained the history of Tulum & Cobá very well and he bonded well with kids too. The vehicle was a small comfortable and with our group size of 12, it felt like a private tour.

I start bitter, but with a good development. - Tulum very beautiful and great views, Coba is cute and large (you cycle better which costs 5 dollars and time is free), the cenote was the best, the colors very cute and the ideal water temperature. I do not give him the 5 stars, because a misunderstanding occurred with the guide Marcela, he did not understand well with the explanation of the payment of the places to visit, he became very fast defensive, when at no time was disrespected or his cell phone broke (what she said, when he was being shown the payment of the places). Beyond that is someone who gives a lot of information about the places or the Maya.

Should not be top tour for Tulum - This was bit of a disappointment. Not sure what makes it top rated tour for Tulum. For the ruins, the tour person did not really share much. There was no separate guide. We wasted an hour+ waiting outside Tulum before the tour. Tour person claimed that there was some mixup with tour company and there were tickets. Buffet wasn't good either. The cenote covered is not one of the famous ones (or highly rated on google maps). Which probably is okay for most. There are other tours that cover more well known ones, like Casa Tortuga Tulum. Positives - bus was clean, pickup drop off was great. Also note there is +20USD per person on top of tour prices, which is fair since it was mentioned in the description.
