Perfect Tours For First Timers - We had such a wonderful time taking the Cenotes Tulum tour! We booked through our resort Ocean Coral Turquesa with Oscar from Dive it Center . He was friendly & explained in detail what our best options were for the price we wanted.
The tour pick up time was around 7:30 am.. no regrets with this because we were able to get there before the big crowds.
Our tour included a stop at the flee market+ Casa Tor Tuga cenotes which included 2 underwater caves and one open cenote.
We ended the tour with DELICIOUS TACOS and arrived back to the resort before 5 pm.
Thank you Gus, Juan and Oscar!

Wonderful trip felt like Familia - We had an amazing trip. The guides (Juan, Leo and Charlie) were nothing short of amazing. They were very personable, kind and spoke English very well. They were quick to make great conversation with all and share personal stories as well making the whole trip very comfortable.
We used Leo as a guide on Telum as well
And he did a wonderful job. We highly recommend doing the same
Overall we had a wonderful time and hope
Others give them a chance as well. They were wonderful and we with them and their families very well.

Go for it - Tulum itself was very scenic with some amazing photo opportunities. I would recommend paying the extra to see the ruins. If you don’t, then you just spend 90 minutes or so walking around a market offering the usual array of tourist toot.
I booked this trip with some apprehension over the cenotes. It looked like a fantastic experience, something I’ve never done before, but I am not a strong swimmer and get claustrophobic easily so was worried I would freak out (especially after the waiver they make you sign). I need not have been concerned. There were even no swimmers in the group so I can only imagine how anxious they were feeling. Life jackets are mandatory and while it is a bit tight in places, there was plenty of room and you’re never far from stairs to get out if you felt overwhelmed. Likewise, the guides were supportive to the non/weak swimmers, having a ring to hold onto and guiding them around the cenotes so they were perfectly safe.
The company has its own changing room so no need to worry about lockers. You have to shower to get rid of sunscreen before heading in to protect the water. For our tour, we got in and out of each cenote at the same point and walked to the next one. They have a bag for your sandals. Be aware that you may be exposed for a little while to the sun and bugs without protection.
I am glad I did this tour. The cenotes were a new experience for us. We had three guides – Leo, Joey and (I think it was) Juan – who took care of everything. They were friendly and ensured everything went smoothly.
Lunch was fine and there is a tequila tasting tagged on at the end.
A great day out.

AMAZING! THANK YOU MARGARITA! - First of all, we would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the incredible Margarita! You are amazing and helped us to organise excursions on our trip. You are always smiling, welcoming and ready to help everyone.
The Tulum tour was amazing. The whole team were incredible. The three cenotes were our favourite part. The team were so knowledgeable and engaging. Big shout out to driver Joe - you’re brilliant!!!
The lunch was DELICIOUS and they had many vegetarian options. The creamed peppers and corn tacos were incredible.
If you’re thinking about booking a tour through Margarita, do it. You won’t regret it. There are so many interesting and beautiful sites.

Tulum and Cenotes excursion from Cancun - Tulum and Cenotes excursion from Cancun
On June 18, 2024 my wife and I took Tulum and Cenotes excursion. I ordered it through Viator back home. Excursion was provided by the local agency Diveit. This agency had a very good communication with us sending us messages reminding us about the excursion and telling us what time they will pick us up. We were able to communicate with them only through messages. Our mini bus with capacity up to 20 people arrived to our JW Marriott hotel 10 minutes after the scheduled time due to the streets flooding. It was just fine with us because it was very early in the morning at 6:50. We drove about 50 minutes to another hotel where we picked up the rest of the group. Totally we had 13 passengers in the van and two guides and a driver. I was surprised to see two guides for such a small group, but one of the guides told me, that the agency will add the second guide if more than 10 people going for the tour. Our driver Joe picked us up from the hotel and later we were joined by another guide Leo and the second guide came with larger group after they joined us about 50 min later. It was not easy morning for driving because the prior night Cancun had tremendous rain a lot of streets were flooded. Our driver Joe was extremely careful driving around and guide Leo informed us what we going to do and what we going to see. We stayed in Tulum about one hour and after a short ride arrived to Cenotes which was the brand-new experience for all of us. Our guides and the driver were very helpful to some of us who could not manage swimming.
Few days later we took tour with another company to Chichen Itza but it was about 45 people with just a single guide in the bus.
As a suggestion to our friends, I stated that travelling to Cancun in a rainy season is a bad idea, but for the tours I would gladly recommend the DiveIt agency regardless of the season.
Good Travels

Must see! Totally worth the day trip. - We did the Tulum and Cenotes tour.
In the morning we got picked up at our hotel by CJ and “the best driver in Mexico!” We scooped up Checko the photographer. Right away they made us feel safe and comfortable.
Everywhere we went they treated us a family and escorted us around.
Tulum was amazingly beautiful and very hot, but worth the trip, 100%! We were able to keep our stuff in the van so we didn’t have to throw away anything at the entrance. Then after we saw the ruines we did a little shopping.
Then the Cenotes… wow no words. A MUST see!
The photos to buy were very very reasonable. I highly recommend.
Honestly I was a tad nervous to leave the resort but felt very very comfortable the whole time. The Team was amazing!

Escobars Canute and cave experience - We drove atvs, zip lined and dived into caves for some swimming. My man Escobar invited me to go at the Rivera resort I was staying at in playa del Carmen. He is a very nice guy and my group was able to trust with him with all the transportation and safety concerns. Highly recommend going for a fun outdoor activity day!

Fun time for our family with teens - Charlie picked us up at the hotel as planned and on time. Tulum was definitely hot- I wish I had taken an umbrella or a hand fan- but interesting. You do pay extra for the tickets into Tulum but our guide took care of everything and led us to the entrance. The best part was definitely the Cenotes! Juan did a great job leading us through the different areas and giving us information as we toured each one. Lunch (included) was served after our swim before heading back to the hotel. Our family enjoyed that it was a small group, it felt more personalized that the big tour busses and would definitely go again!

Tulum Ruins, Cenotes and Lunch - Fantastic day, our guide Eric was very informative and really showed how important history and culture is to the Mexican people today. Our Tulum ruin self guided tour was great, but very hot! So that ruined it for me, 34 C was too hot to be walking around on what was high elevation at midday. I recommend a cooler time of year for this trip. The Cenotes were amazing! I was abit scared initially of going inside, mainly due to the unknown of the water. Life jackets or rings are required for the first part, as constant swimming is required, there is nowhere to stop and hold on, it is literally a cave and you need to keep moving. I would invest in a waterproof bag for your phone unless you take a go pro etc. Was great to be able to take photos and videos! The last cenote didn't require a life jacket if you didn't want to, and many people were jumping in from the highest part. Very exhilarating experience and I will be returning to do cenotes on my trip back to Mexico in December. The lunch was lovely, nice to have authentic food. We went to one of the stalls for 'real' tequila tasting, I do not drink tequila so I can't comment but, it was nice for others. Overall definite must do excursion, Eric was fab!
