Rabaçal is a unique and enchanting destination, brimming with waterfalls and fountains. This levada walk is renowned as the most stunning and popular in Madeira. The adventure begins with a 3-hour trek, including an 800-meter journey through a volcanic rock tunnel, leading to an evergreen forest with breathtaking scenery.
During this hike, participants will have the chance to admire magnificent waterfalls, natural spring water, and the endemic species of fauna and flora.
Following this wonderful walk, there will be a lunch break (not included) at a Madeiran restaurant in Paúl da Serra, the island’s largest plateau, standing at about 1400 meters high, offering incredible views. Afterwards, the journey continues downhill through an exciting off-road expedition, where the aroma of the exotic eucalyptus forest can be enjoyed.
The tour proceeds to Cabo Girão, home to Europe’s highest sea cliff at 580 meters, famous for its suspended glass floor viewpoint that provides a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean and Câmara de Lobos Bay. (2 € per person not included).
