Canoeing - Excellent guides, very knowledgeable on the city and it’s history and very professional. I got lots of information useful for the rest of my trip. Food was quite good. The archeological museum is being repaired and contains some very interesting pieces so I’m sure it will be even better in the futur. I do recommend trips with this company, I had a very good time.

Half day in a peaceful mangrove and fishing village - Lovely day in the mangroves; easy pick up at hotel; great and knowledgeable host. Ended with a lovely fresh fish dinner. The hosts at the restaurant were lovely; my friend does not eat fish, and I forgot to tell them this. Nevertheless, they promptly substituted a lovely coconut rice dish and platanos. Tell them if you have any dietary restrictions, note that they will provide bottled water and you won't be paddling .

Canoeing and birdwatching in mangrove swamp. - Lots of wading birds. The tour starts in a very rough looking neighborhood but the people seemed friendly. Our guide’s name was Mohammed Ali. He could speak English but it was very broken English and difficult to understand. He was very knowledgeable of the birds but not very attentive to us. We were in a rough wooden canoe with a board to sit on. The seats got very hard before the trip was over. The boat was poled by a local guy. It was quite an adventure. We even had to push his car off to return to our hotel. We certainly got to see the other side of the tracks in Cartagena. We chalked it up as another interesting experience that lead to great stories.
