- Maquique Adventure Canyoning and Rafting - We will start this adventure with a pleasant welcome at our reception, we will sign our waiver. Next, our professional guides will install our safety equipment to perform the best canyoning. Likewise, they will be given a safety talk so that they know how to carry out this activity in a safe and fun way (No experience is necessary). Once prepared, we will take you in a 4x4 vehicle to the mountains to begin the adventure. We will descend 5 waterfalls of up to 60 meters, each with different heights, in addition, you will enjoy a Monkey drop where you will fall into a pool of water, you will take walks immersed in the La Fortuna Mountains and finally you will be able to enjoy a double zipline where you will be able to enjoy of the best views of the Arenal Volcano. During the tour you will be able to enjoy 100% of nature, learn about flora and fauna and the guides will take photos and videos so that you remember this adventure. Once the activity is over, our team will be waiting for you with hydration and a delicious TICO wood-fired lunch at the El Fogón de Chela Restaurant.

The best canyoning in La Fortuna. You will do 5 Rappels, 3 of which descend through waterfalls, these will be unique with ascending difficulties, providing a more balanced adrenaline experience. In addition, you will enjoy 2 zip lines surrounded by lush natural tropical jungle, one of these zip lines is double so you can enjoy more with your friends. Our bilingual tour guides are highly experienced, patient and friendly. Our guided abseiling offered mid-tour provides a sense of relief for the inexperienced client and an adrenaline rush for the experienced. The cherry on the cake of this activity will be a 60-meter waterfall that marks the finish line of the final descent of this route. You will get to know La Fortuna internally by entering the mountains where you will live adventures that you will not be able to forget.

Don't be afraid, this tour was awesome - I absolutely recommend Maquique adventures. I loved canyoning and was so surprised at how easy it was. It wasn't as scary as it seemmed and the guides were all super attentive. I will say that people with limited mobility might have issues with the 15 minute hike. It wasn't the most strenuous hike but it was a challenge keeping footing with water shoes on. The lunch included was amazing! Traditional Costa Rican cooking by a local restaurant owner who also holds cooking classes at her restaurant. My only complaint is I wish I had more time in La Fortuna to do a longer tour. I only did the canyoning tour (also includes a hike and lunch). But, I wish I had time to join them on the rafting trip, too.

Amazing!!!! - This was by far my favorite excursion and I did a bunch! I’m not sure where else you can rappel from a waterfall but Costa Rica was the first for me and this company made me want to continue to look for more opportunities! Make sure to wear shoes you dont care about since you’ll be hip deep in water at some point. Between the rappels and zipline, it was amazing but the last rappel is what takes the cake! The team was very patient, informative, and always ready for a quick pic or video to take!

Absolutely the best part... - Absolutely the best part of the trip! Each jump and rappel got better and the last rappel down the big waterfall was amazing! Definitely wear shoes you don’t care getting soaked as you’ll walk through water at hip level

A MUST-DO when in La Fortuna! - This was a FANTASTIC excursion!!! My boyfriend and I had the best time!! Took us out of our comfort zone a bit, but wound up being not nearly as daunting and just a blast. Would absolutely do it again with this group. They were very knowledgeable, encouraging, and super fun. The lunch served afterwards was very delicious, as well!
