Beautiful sights & peaceful area (no crowds!) - The trek took us through some really beautiful and almost mystical-looking hills in Cao Bang, Trung Kanh district. I especially enjoyed the peaceful walk along the Quay Son river, which was also around the border of China and Vietnam. We had really yummy food at our homestay in the stone village, and also had a good night’s rest there. The Ban Gioc waterfalls are spectacular and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the boat rides that took us super close to the falls! Overall, I believe this tour gives you a good taste of what a Northern Vietnamese villager experiences and sees, so if you’re looking for that, do join the tour!
