The Best Experience - Performance Tours is the only way to go. True professionals and a great time. We are "experienced" rafters, rafting different rivers in different states our travels take us. Peformance Tours outshines other rafting experiences we have had. We took the full day Big Horn Sheep and Royal Gorge Trip. It trip was more personalized with a small crew and a van to move people and boats- not school buses full of people. The lunch provided was a great FRESH spread with lots of options, not a brown sack lunch tossed at you. ( The fresh cut veggies cut by our rafting guide was a nice touch). The crew were all exceptional, focused on safety and ensuring a positive pleasant experience. It was a fabulous day on the Arkansas River- Thank you Peformance Tours.

Hospitality, Fun, Safe, and Experienced CREW! - Wow! If you’re looking for a company that is small and personal this is it!! Scooter was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and kind! She knew the River so we’ll and the whole trip was entertaining because of the facts she shared with us…we felt very safe with our 11 year old riding along and not having any experience because of Scooter’s extensive water experiences! The ride down the river was perfect and we hit all the right spots…the lunch spread was delicious and full of fresh fruit and yummy sandwiches!! Hats off to this crew for such a fantastic experience!! Don’t hesitate to book with this company…they’re all so sweet and kind!!

Amazing experience! - Had a great experience with Performance Tours! Our raft guide Josh was incredible as well, seamlessly guiding us through each rapid and providing entertainment along the way. Highly recommend the full day trip so you get a little time to warm up and float before the class IV rapids in the afternoon.

Performance for life! - Awesome full day Royal Gorge trip with family and PJ and Joe as guides. Could not have any better guides, they are the best! The Gorge has awesome views, the weather was perfect and it was a day we won't forget. We were provided lunch with the full day and I was expecting a cold cut sandwich but it was so much more! Our driver did a great job of shopping and PJ and Joe created an unbelievable spread. It goes by so fast, definitely recommend the full day trips!

Perfect 1st Rafting Trip for Our Kids 10, 7, 4 - What a fantastic first Whitewater trip for my kids to experience. Everything was so organized from registration online to filling out waivers ahead of time, to the information provided and help upon arrival. Im not 100% sure we were the royal gorge full day or another full day option. Our daughter recently turned 4 and just met the age requirements for the class/class 2 full day trip so that is what we did. PJ was our guide and was simply top class every step of the way. We were the only family doing this full day trip and had a lot fo the river to ourselves and got to experience a personalized tour with PJ. He expertly steered the raft when he wante to point things out or when we spotted wildlife like a whitetail fawn by the river, a large male mule deer with a huge antler rack, or an osprey that flew from tree limb to tree limb as we went through a lower canyon. Lunch in downtown Salida was a lot of fun, what a cool little town! PJ again went above and beyond with a delicious spread for lunch, something for everyone and not just meat and cheese but fresh vegetables, hummus horseradish etc, he made sure we didnt go hungry! Pj deftly guided the raft so as to meet the kids desire to catch some whitewater as well at times too. Cannot say enough good things about PJ and Adventure Tours. Our kids now cannot wait to go rafting again which is perhaps the best thing of all. We hope to be back!

Raft here for sure! - The Royal Gorge full day raft trip with Performance Tours was amazing. Breathtaking views and great rapids. Guide Drew has many years experience and fun stories. They also took great care at lunch to accommodate my friend with a couple allergies which was good to see. I recommend the full day! We felt like we were just getting more comfortable with the rapids at the end of the first half of the day. The rapids on this trip were also better on the second half of the river. Great experience! Definitely recommend!

I will never raft with another company :) - This is my second time doing the royal gorge full day trip with this company. Both times we have absolutely loved our experience!! The guides are all amazing and so knowledgeable and make the trip very fun. I love how much you feel a part of a family/community with performance tours. We are definitely loyal customers to this company and are now making plans to do the 2 day overnight rafting trip with them in buena vista.

Use Performance Tours! - Wonderful Experience! Drew (our guide) was knowledgeable and very easy to talk to while on an all-day trip. Performance Tours didn't seem like one of the bigger companies booking rafting trips, which was nice because all of their guides have many, many years of experience and the experience feels more personalized and not like you are part of an inflatable armada going down the river. I can't say enough good things about them without boring you, the reader, to death with my repetitive praising and still feel like I've done justice to this crew, so at this point you get to decide if you trust the reviews or not :)

Another great trip - We enjoyed this so much last year we had to go back again. Our guide, Cheyenne, was awesome and made sure everyone had a fun time. The lunch was excellent as well. I highly recommend it.
