National Museum of Ghana - Located in Accra, the National Museum of Ghana is the largest and oldest of the six museums managed by the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum was inaugurated on March 5, 1957, as part of Ghana’s independence celebrations. It features a diverse collection of art, including paintings, sculptures, fabric art, and historical artifacts.

Kakum National Park - After an emotional journey, enjoy some fun and hiking in the Kakum forest. At Kakum, we will hike and walk on the canopy with suspended rope bridges attached to trees.

Makola Market - Established in 1924, Makola Market is at the heart of urban life in Accra. It is the main wholesale and retail marketplace in the city, serving as a central hub for trade and one of the nation’s key social and cultural institutions. Travelers can shop or window shop in this famous market.

James Town - James Town is the oldest community in Accra. We will drive through this historic area.

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park - Also known as the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, this park is the final resting place of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. It honors his relentless efforts to liberate Ghana.

Center for National Culture - This arts market offers a variety of Ghanaian and African items, including paintings, shirts, dresses, and more.

Black Star Square - The site where Ghana declared its independence on March 6, 1957. Travelers can take pictures, ride horses, and have fun here.

CAPE COAST TOURS

Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park - Visit the slave river where our ancestors took their last bath before being moved to the Cape Coast and Elmina Slave Dungeons.

Cape Coast Castle - A former slave trading post where the British bought and sold human beings. We will explore the history of slavery in Ghana and Africa.

Elmina Castle - Built by the Portuguese in 1482, Elmina Castle, also known as St. George of the Mine Castle, is the oldest European building in sub-Saharan West Africa. It was the first trading post on the Gulf of Guinea.

CAPE COAST TOUR CONTINUES AND TRANSFER TO KUMASI

Kakum National Park - After an emotional journey, enjoy some fun and hiking in the Kakum forest. At Kakum, we will hike and walk on the canopy with suspended rope bridges attached to trees.

Kumasi - After the canopy walkway, we will head straight to Kumasi, where we will spend the night and continue the city tour the next day.

KUMASI CITY TOUR

Okomfo Anokye Sword Site - Okomfo Anokye, a spiritual leader, conjured a Golden Stool from heaven for the Ashanti people and struck a sword into the ground, which remains unlifted to this day. The sword site is a popular tourist attraction.

Kejetia Market - The largest market in the area.

Manhyia Palace Museum - The royal palace of the Ashanti King, where we will tour the museum to learn about the history of the Ashanti kingdom.
