We’re passionate about hiking and wine. Hermanus is a place to fulfill these passions with its many thrilling hiking trails and top-tier vineyards. Picture the mountains of Yosemite, the beaches of Malibu, and the wines of Napa Valley - this is the perfect blend for a hiking and wine excursion. Join us on a 3 day journey featuring hiking along our rough coastline, traversing the diverse Cape floral kingdom and into the aptly dubbed Hemel en Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley. We’ve carefully selected some of our most loved treks and we’ll give you a warm introduction to our winemaker mates. The period between September and November is when the Southern Right whales grace us with their presence, perfect for sightings along the Cliff Path walk. Other times of the year, we spot Brydes whales, dolphins, seals, and even the occasional orca. We’ll also guide you through an African penguin colony. Each day concludes with poolside pilates, a fantastic way to unwind post-hike, and a scrumptious meal.
