A Unique Mix of Food, History and Local Businesses - I was looking for a food tour and this one stood out to me because it was different than all the other ones and explored a part of Cape Town that I probably wouldn't have explored on my own. We walked through some of the oldest public spaces and buildings in the city and were exposed to lots of historic architecture as well. Food and drink, history and current local businesses were woven together in a very informative and captivating manner. I loved tasting foods from many different countries in Africa and meeting the people who run these businesses. I also received many tips on places to visit on my own. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of this tour and the passion that Dennis has for food, Cape Town and the people.

Amazing Food! Insightful Stories! Best Ever Tour Guide! - This was our group’s favorite tour experiencing Cape Town like a local. Logistics like start/end times, stops/durations, meeting/ending points were all good and walking in between meals was definitely ideal. The food/drinks were ample and awesome; definitely no dinner plans desired after. We revisited one of the restaurants the very next day! The stories were humbling and touching, as the passion of a couple of these entrepreneurs was truly inspiring. And our tour guide, Sifisu, we met as a stranger but he quickly became much like a long, lost friend. He was such a gracious and patient host…so knowledgeable about the city and its culture…so supportive of these “off-the-beaten-path” establishments…so appreciative of the opportunity to do what he loves and earn a living for him and his beloved fiancé…so helpful with ideas of other local spots to try on our own time. We recommend doing this tour early on in your visit to Cape town…its a great start to an amazing adventure in this beautiful city!

Unforgettable culinary experience - My tour of African restaurants in Cape Town was an exceptional experience. The organisation was perfect, making each step smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere in each restaurant was great, with a lively vibe. The Somali restaurant was my favourite, with succulent dishes that bring out the authenticity of Somali cuisine. The Senegalese restaurant also impressed with the quality of its traditional dishes and its friendly atmosphere. The koeksisters were also a real treat: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. In summary, this exploration of African flavours in Cape Town was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to all food lovers.

Such a fun way to explore Cape Town city centre with all your senses! - This is one of the tours where you receive way more then what you asked for! Dennis and Sifuso guide you through the city in a very enthusiast and well organised way, where all your senses plus your curiousity will be satisfied. You learn about Capetonian culture and a spectrum of influences that are part of it all, about cuisine, spices and perfume. You get to taste true soulfood and experience traditional cuisine that has been past on for generations at places you might not visit as a tourist otherwise. That has really changed my perspective for future travels! I must also add that, after travelling to Cape Town for the fourth time already, I have never walked around in the city centre this much, it was such a fun way to explore the heart of the mother city. Conclusion: This tour was a complete experience that provided me with lot’s of stories and memories to take back home to Belgium! I’d even gladly go for a second round. Thank you Dennis and Sifuso!
