A Great Dane who remains the only dog ever to be officially listed in the services of the British Royal Navy.

• Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Visit this ever popular colony which is probably the most popular attraction in Simon’s Town. Come face to face with the African penguin whose numbers have risen to almost 3 000 since 1992 when it all started as a couple.

At Foxy beach take a walk on the wooden boardwalk to come within arms length of these flightless birds. Learn a lot about these adorable birds from the wooden small frames nailed on the wooden boardwalk.

There are also top of the range restaurants which are known for tasty seafood and quality beef stakes. There are a few shops serving soft cone and it would be a great great idea grabbing a cup of coffee after a long day on tour.
