- Camps Bay - Journey along the Atlantic seaboard, driving between the mountains and the ocean. The first photo stop will be at Maiden’s Cove, a beautiful scenic lookout point nestled between Clifton’s beaches and the prestigious suburb of Camps Bay in Cape Town.
- Hout Bay - Leaving Cape Town, the first fishing village to drive through is Hout Bay, perched on the edge of the ocean. It is bordered on either side by the Table Mountain range, which at one end closes into a narrow neck with a road leading to the wealthy mountainside suburb of Constantia, and on the other opens out onto the half-moon shaped bay with the scenic Chapman’s Peak road between mountain and sea.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - The drive down to the Good Hope nature reserve takes us from Hout Bay to Noordhoek on the coastal scenic Chapman’s Peak drive across the mountain face, with numerous wonderful viewing sites. The almost vertical, sheer cliffs of Chapman’s Peak, seemingly close enough to touch, plunge into the sea. The road cuts through sedimentary dark-colored layers of sandstone and the lighter grey-colored granite exposed below the road.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - Option to enjoy the best brewed coffee in the Peninsula at the Roost village, at the guest’s own expense.
- Scarborough - A road trip around the Cape Peninsula would not be complete without the coastal drive to Scarborough.
- Cape Point Ostrich Farm - Set in the beautiful Cape Peninsula, the next photo stop is at the southernmost ostrich farm in Africa. The largest living birds in the world, the tour guide will share some interesting facts about ostriches.
- Cape Point Nature Reserve - The Cape of Good Hope hike starts on the western shoreline of the Nature Reserve and crosses over to the eastern side of the peninsula, offering breathtaking views of False Bay. In spring, spectacular flora and abundant bird life are among the many highlights, as well as whale watching. The hike takes you down south toward Cape Point. The first part of the hike is along the beaches, while the second part is more inland with spectacular cliffs and involves occasional rock scrambling. You are almost bound to get very close to baboons. Following a stop at Cape Point, the return journey takes you from Cape Point along a well-maintained and marked boardwalk to the famous Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern corner of Africa. The trail is popular for the unsurpassed views over the pristine Diaz Beach and rugged western shoreline, offering a perfect photo opportunity.
- Cape of Good Hope - The Cape of Good Hope, the continent’s most southwesterly point, is definitely the moment for a momentous photograph - you have finally reached the Cape with all its magic.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - Walk or take the funicular to the old Cape Point lighthouse. From here, numerous stepped paths lead to various viewpoints. Ascending to the old Cape Point lighthouse is enjoyable and invigorating.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Driving out of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, the next stop is situated along the False Bay coastline at the famous Boulders Penguins Colony near Simon’s Town. The place gets its name from the huge and ancient granite boulders along the coast. This picturesque area is home to a colony of some 3000 delightful African Penguins. A boardwalk runs from Foxy Beach to Boulders Beach, where you can get down on the sand and mingle with the penguins, but don’t be tempted to pet them as they have sharp beaks that can cause serious injuries.
- Kalk Bay - Kalk Bay fishing village is situated on the east side of the peninsula along False Bay. The village lies between the ocean and the sharply rising mountainous heights of Table Mountain Sandstone.
- Simon’s Town - After visiting Boulders Beach and the African Penguin colony, the drive back to Cape Town takes you through the picturesque coastal naval town of Simon’s Town, located on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula, for a coffee stop, time permitting.
- Boyes Drive - Boyes Drive is the last scenic coastal road that climbs the lower slopes of Muizenberg Mountain, providing panoramic views over Muizenberg beach for the last photo opportunity before heading inland. If not too late, the shark spotter may still be on duty.
- Constantia - Nestled beneath Table Mountain is the Constantia wine valley, with a winemaking history that dates back to 1685.
