Absolutely worth it!! - The cycle tour was an awesome experience. Gideon adapts the pace to those on the tour. The views are breathtaking, and it is a wonderful way to experience the Cape Peninsular. It was a highlight of my trip to Cape Town.

Road cycling tour -Cape Town Peninsula - I booked a peninsula tour and deemed to be the best option to ride with someone who knows the route, is an experienced cyclist and a nice company for chat, cake and coffee…next time in Cape Town will ride with them again.

Amazing 3 days Cycling Tour around Cape Town - The highlight of my holidays! Booked a 3 day cycle tour with Gideon around Cape Town. All started at the Peninsula as we continued cycling the forthcoming days in the Winelands and along a scenic coastal road along False Bay. Gideon is a fantastic guide who can show you the all the good spots you need to see. Also arranged my bike rental, sport massage, accommodation and transport of my luggage. Would highly recommend a cycling tour with him! Amazing experience to which I look back for a long long time!

Spectacular 100km ride around Cape Peninsula - I had a few free days on a recent business trip to Cape Town, and found Cape Active Tours and Gideon via a google search. He checked out my capability on Strava and came up with the 100km Peninsula ride. It was a spectacular way to see the coast at it's finest!! Gideon got the mix just right between stopping to see the sights and a comfortable tempo (thanks for the tow!!). He organised the bike hire and the bike was fine for what I needed. The ride itself had minimal traffic and respectful drivers. I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a ride around Cape Town, and I will certainly do another ride with Gideon - maybe Hermanus is next?!?!

110 Km Bike Tour Cape Town - Doing this bike tour was one of the highlights of my staying in Cape Town. Amazing scenery, nice climbs and also you can visit some touristic spot like the penguings at boulder beach. The tour guide (Gideon) was amazing! Before the tour he helped me out in renting the bike and he was really flexible in building a route based on my preferences. During the ride he showed me amazing places, telling me also a bit of the history of some spots. Strongly recommend and since he offers also MTB tours, next time in Cape Town I’ll definitely do an offroad tour!

Epic Cape Peninsula - What a fantastic day! I write this review a couple of months after I enjoyed this spectacular loop around the Cape Peninsula, and even with the passing of the time, thinking about the views still brings a smile to my face. I had a spare day in my schedule and wanted to take a bike tour, a quick search found me the Cape Active Tour pages, and the ride I chose was the Cape Peninsula Explorer. This ride of just about 120km takes from the start in Camps Bay along quiet roads that snake up and over the hills of the peninsula. This is not a flat ride, you will need to bring your climbing legs, but they aren’t steep, so it is a case of finding your rhythm and getting to the top to enjoy the amazing scenery. The view stretches out across False Bay, and you feel that any moment you are bound to see the fluke of a whale break the surface. We stopped for coffee at Simons Town before enjoying a waddle amongst the penguins at Boulders Beach before heading south, and looping around to a great cycling café in Scarborough before a steady climb to burn off the cake and the n the most amazing descent of fast switch backs in to Simons Town, we then headed north through the coastal communities such as Fish Hoek and then heading inland towards Constantia and then back down to Camps Bay. It was epic, and this review doesn’t do Gideon or the route justice, beautifully hard with a guide who was good company. When I return I am riding with Gideon again!
