Great perspective on Woodstock - I try to hit up a street art tour in every city I visit. Often, it is a way to get to know the counter-culture of the city which is exciting. There were some impressive and inspiring pieces on this tour and our guide provided background on the people on the neighborhood and the artists for each one including the messages behind their works. Many were sponsored or commissioned pieces which can reflect the vision and hope of the community. There was some surprising (to a visitor) street art too that really indicated the politics and view of the people. It was eye-opening but also good to know where some community members stand on important issues. The commentary about subjects other than art was interesting as well and I enjoyed our discussion and tips for places to go too. I recommend this tour.
