After being picked up from your accommodation in Cape Town, you will be transported to the Silo District. Here, a former political prisoner will welcome you and guide you to the Nelson Mandela Gateway. Upon reaching the Robben Island Museum, another former political prisoner will greet you and provide a tour. This excursion lasts about four hours, including the hotel pickup. Please note that our driver/tour guide will not join you on the Robben Island museum tour. The tour starts with a bus ride around the island, followed by a visit to Nelson Mandela’s jail cell and the long walk to freedom.
