Unforgettable whale watching with Louis - We just returned from the most incredible whale watching tour. We saw at least 15 whales during a 2 hour boat cruise. Note that you have to book the boat cruise separately. The tour began with a convenient and scenic drive from Cape Town to Hermanus. Our guide, Louis, regaled us with fascinating facts about the region's history, flora, and fauna. It was also a national holiday, so the town was very crowded, and parking was a nightmare. Louis managed everything easily and got us to the boat tour on time. We even returned to Cape Town right on schedule. The entire experience, from the comfortable drive from the city to the breathtaking ocean views, was absolutely top-notch.

Louis is a fab host!!! 🤩 - Please note despite all the small print, I did not take note that this tour DOES NOT include a whale cruise and must be booked separately (and so additional costs).Throw in that it was Heritage Day (a national holiday) and the Hermanus Whale Festival we were 100% guaranteed to not get on one. There is absolutely no guarantee you will see Whales from the town coastline. So please please please make sure you make the additional cruise booking. Louis absolutely came to the rescue and managed to get us on a sea cruise. We thank him tremendously as we saw circa 15 whales in the 2hr cruise. He was a great host, great fun and super knowledgeable every step of the journey! We had a day and an experience we will never forget. Louis made this tour!!

Great tour with great guide - The tour was great! Our guide Louis explained all things to us and always took good care of us. In Hermanus you could voluntarily book a boat tour, which I did. We have seen 12 whales, an orca and several seals. After a break for lunch, we walked along a beautiful coastal road back to Cape Town, where we stopped several times for photos☺️. Conclusion: Great tour, totally good guide! I would do it again anytime.
