Great experience with a great guide - I was collected at 05.15 at my hotel in Cape Town by my guide Shamier and we made our way to the start point , it was only myself and Shamier on the walk and for me this was great as it made for a more personal experience . On the journey in the car to the start point Shamier gave me a safety briefing and told me what to expect . When we arrived at the start point Shamier provided me with a head torch in case I needed it as we were starting the walk in the dark , thankfully it was not required as there was enough natural light once our eyes became accustomed to it . We proceeded on our way and Shamier was great at telling me the history of the area and was also very knowledgable about the flowers and birds that we were encountering , we made good progress to the summit in plenty of time before the sun had risen , and it was a nice surprise that Shamier had brought along a flask of coffee and some snacks for us both , I was not expecting this as it was not included in the package , so it was a nice touch from him . At the summit there was beautiful 360 views of the surrounding area and I managed to get some lovely photos , and when the sun came up it was even better for getting photos . The hike itself is not particularly challenging if you have a reasonable level of fitness , and we made the summit in about 75 minutes , I would recommend a decent pair of trail shoes or hiking shoes as the terrain is quite rocky at parts and can be slippy at points . If you are considering this walk then I would recommend booking with Shamier if you can as he made the experience for me very satisfying and interesting .

Spectacular - Tour operator got sick last minute and managed to arrange for another guide to lead me up last minute which was much appreciated. Nashad was 10/10 and would highly recommend him to everyone. Very knowledgable of the mountain, area, and South African history in general; was a great accompaniment for the day! Views speak for themselves, has been the highlight of the trip

An incredible hike with an incredible guide - The Lion’s Head hike at sunset was an extraordinary experience.. Shamier is an excellent hiker and guide, he always made sure everyone is safe and caught up with the pace of walking, he was also very enthusiastic, and encouraging through out the hike, sharing incredible stories, and information about our surroundings. It was our first hike for me and my cousin, it was a bit tough climbing the final stage of the mountain, but being at the peak was worth every second of it. -no experience needed- Shamier really helped us through it all. <3

He made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, especially on the more challenging parts of the trail, offering encouragement and support along the way. Lion’s Head hike - I had the most fantastic experience completing the sunrise Lion’s Head hike with Shamier. The hike was absolutely breathtaking and definitely one of my highlights during my 2 week visit to Cape Town. Shamier was the perfect guide, very knowledgeable and friendly with a warm heart. He made me feel safe throughout the hike and the views at the top were definitely worth the hike up. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic sunrise on top of Lion's Head - Shamier is a great guide. We connected super quickly and had a very deep interesting conversation about life while hiking up the mountain and back. I really enjoyed the whole experience and strongly recommend Shamier!
