- Cape Town Central - Soon after pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town we will travel through the city center for a drive-by city tour to view historical monuments and buildings. This will allow visitors to gain more insight into the rest of the day tour.
- Bo-Kaap - Our first stop will be in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarters) where you will have your first photo opportunity with the colorful houses as your backdrop. Your tour guide/driver will share interesting stories about the Bo-Kaap colorful houses and their Malaysian and Indonesian heritage.
- Camps Bay - Our journey continues along the Atlantic Seaboard as we travel between mountains and oceans which stretch for as far as the eye can see. Passing through Clifton and Camp’s Bay, we stop in Maiden’s Cove viewpoint. Maiden’s Cove is arguably one of the most spectacular photo opportunities of the day and is certainly not to be missed. The Twelve Apostles mountain range can be seen on one side and Camp’s Bay Beach on the other side.
- Hout Bay - Further along the coastal drive, we pass Llandudno on route to Hout Bay Harbour. Llandudno is home to some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa. Arriving in Hout Bay Harbour, we take an optional boat trip to Duiker (Seal) Island to view the seals colony. We do not recommend this activity if the weather is unfavorable with rough seas. The entire boat trip lasts 45-minutes. Should you prefer to skip the boat trip, you are welcome to browse the curio shop, have a cup of coffee or use the restrooms at this stop. There is also an interesting market should you wish to do some shopping.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most scenic drives in the world. Take the opportunity of some magical photos when we stop at the Chapman’s Peak viewpoint, overlooking endless stretches of the Atlantic Ocean. (We will take this drive if it is operational. Should it not be operational due to rock-falls, etc. we will use an alternate route.)
- Noordhoek Farm Village - Proceeding along the coastline, we will be greeted by views of pristine beaches of white sand and blue oceans in Noordhoek. Should you be a keen horse rider, we can arrange for a 1-hour horse ride on Noordhoek Beach. (Should you wish to take up this offer, please advise at time of booking your tour.) An optional stop at the Noordhoek Farm Village is on offer for some of the best coffee roasted on this side of Cape Town.
- Cape of Good Hope - As we enter into the Cape of Good Hope’s main gate we will drive for a short distance before we see the two navigational beacons with crosses on top of each one: The Dias Cross and da Gama Cross. These monuments were reconstructed to commemorate Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias as explorers who were the first to reach the Cape. A visit to the Cape of Good Hope is not complete without a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board.
- Cape Point - Most visitors to the Cape of Good Hope take the option of a short hike to the Cape Point Lighthouse. However, should you prefer, you are welcome to take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the lighthouse. Cape Point is the official meeting point of the two ocean currents: The Cold Benguela Current and the Warm Agulhas Current. The Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope have various species of fauna and flora. Baboons may seem cute, but we advise not to get too close to them as these are wild animals and can become dangerous.
An optional lunch stop can be enjoyed either at the sit-down restaurant called the Two Oceans at Cape Point or a takeaway from the informal eatery. (Please advise at time of booking whether we can assist with a lunch reservation.)
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - We travel along the M6 main road towards Fish Hoek on route to Simon’s Town to meet the monument of Just Nuisance and Boulder’s Beach to visit the African Penguins Colony. Just Nuisance was a Great Dane Dog who made a name for himself in the South African Navy. Listen to some interesting stories about Just Nuisance from your tour guide. Then we visit the Penguins colony at Boulder’s Beach. The African Penguins can be viewed from the boardwalks that make their way through the dunes and dense vegetation. You may even be fortunate enough to be greeted by one of these enchanting sea creatures along the boardwalk.
Simon’s Town and Boulder’s Beach also presents lunch options at one of the sit-down restaurants or informal eateries. (Please advise at time of booking whether we can assist with a reservation.)
- Muizenberg - Our return route will be past Fish Hoek through Muizenberg where we will see the colorful beach huts. These beach huts are utilized by sunbathers and surfers for changing rooms.
