Highlights
  • Cape Town Central - Our tour begins with a pick-up from your Cape Town accommodation at 8:00am (flexible) for this all-inclusive private tour to Table Mountain, Boulders Beach Penguin colony, and Cape of Good Hope. We’ll start with a brief city orientation tour, driving through the city center where your guide will highlight historical monuments and museums to provide context for the rest of the tour.
  • Bo-kaap - We stop at Bo-Kaap, formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter, where guests can take memorable photos with the colorful houses as a backdrop. Your guide will share fascinating stories about these historic homes and the heritage of the local community. Many local families have roots in Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. You can also taste traditional Cape Malay snacks like samoosas and koeksisters, available from local vendors.
  • Table Mountain - We head to the Table Mountain Cableway Station to take the cable car to the top of the mountain for exploration. Enjoy views of Cape Town from one of the 7 Wonders of Nature and one of South Africa’s most iconic mountains. If the weather is unfavorable, we will skip Table Mountain and make it our last stop of the day.
  • Camps Bay - We take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Clifton and stopping in Camps Bay. Maiden’s Cove is perfect for capturing spectacular photos with views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach. This cove is one of the best spots in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay.
  • Hout Bay - Traveling along the Atlantic scenic seaboard, we pass through Llandudno, known for some of South Africa’s most expensive real estate, until we reach Hout Bay. At Hout Bay harbor, you can choose to take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to view the seals or shop at the market.
  • Seal Island - If you opt for the boat trip to Seal Island, it will last 45 minutes and is weather-dependent. Bring a light jersey as temperatures can drop at sea. Note that we will not disembark at Seal Island but will view the seals from the boat.
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for stunning photos. It’s easy to see why Chapman’s Peak is considered one of the most scenic routes in the world.
  • Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, offering breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach. Travelers can enjoy some of Cape Town’s best coffee at the Village Roast (at their own expense).
  • Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - An optional stop for wine tasting at the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards is available. Surrounded by vineyards and ocean views, the cool sea breezes create a slow-growing season, resulting in a unique Sauvignon Blanc known for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch at their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam is highly recommended.
  • Cape of Good Hope - We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take an iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. We’ll also visit the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments and see beautiful beaches, fauna, and flora along the way.
  • Cape Point - From the Cape of Good Hope, we drive to Cape Point. Upon arrival, you can choose between a 15-minute hike or taking the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we’ll explore the most south-western point of Africa, where the cold Benguela current from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. The Two Oceans Restaurant is a good option for a sit-down lunch if open, or you can buy a light takeaway lunch from an informal eatery.
  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even spot a few walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
  • Muizenberg - On our return route, we’ll pass Muizenberg, where you can see the colorful beach huts used as changing rooms. These huts are reminiscent of the “bathing machines” of the 1800s, which were cart-like structures wheeled to the water’s edge for ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
  • Cape Town Central - Drop-off will be back at your accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 6:00pm.

Our guide made this tour an unforgettable one! - Armand was simply the best! Couldn’t have had a better guide: he not only has a vast knowledge about all the details of this great Cape Town tour itself, but about the history, flora, fauna, marine life and whatever you want to know about South Africa. This tour is a must for first timers. I absolutely recommend to do it as soon as you arrive in Cape Town. We were a family of five, and Armand explained everything so thoroughly that helped us all understand the way of life in Cape Town.

Amazing experience with Jean! - We scheduled a day tour Table Mountain, Cape Hope and Penguin Sanctuary. Our guide, Jean, was on time with a smile. He was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. He took us to all attractions and educated us about South African history. He took many pics of us making sure the beautiful landscape was included. We would highly recommend Jean for any tour. We will be back and will request him once again. Thank you Jean!

Interesting and informative - Great tour. Robben Island was fascinating, and guide Luther made all of the arrangements. The same for the trip to the top of Table Mountain, including some history and natural context regarding the Mountain and nearby geographical formations. Had only one spare day in Cape Town; glad I took this tour.

Great, full day! - This is an excellent way to see a lot in a single day! Elie, our guide, was fantastic. Really, we can't say enough positive things about him. He was extremely knowledgeable about South African history and shared so much with us. He accommodated our requests for a soda stop and ATM. He knew how to get us in and out of sites with ease and in a timely manner. He had a great way of giving us our space while also helping us navigate the locations. I highly recommend this tour and our guide! It was a great day!

A great day..despite bad weather - We had a really great time despite the high winds and rain. We were not able to take the cable car but Finton was a really wonderful guide and we were very satisfied with the day. The car was comfortable and the places chosen by Finton to stop for coffee and to have lunch were well considered and perfect for the day. Thank you we highly recommend this trip.

Fab trip to Cape Town - Luther was an excellent guide. He worked hard to make my day work for me. Luther was kind and considerate and I appreciated him being my guide. I found Robben Island to be a thought provoking visit and, for me, it was sad but it’s something that we should go to when visiting Cape Town, if only out of respect.l Table Mountain was outstanding and the views were amazing. Luther also took me on a tour of Bo Kaap, which was very interesting.
