• Cape Town Central - Once picked up, you will be driven to Bo-Kaap to start our day tour with the first excursion. Bo-Kaap’s rich history spans over 360 years and is renowned for its vibrant, rainbow-colored houses and cobblestone streets. This culturally rich area is the birthplace of Islam in the country, featuring many mosques. From there, we will drive along the N2.

• Bo-Kaap - Begin exploring the Cape Malay neighborhood, discussing the abolition of slavery in 1834, the Islamic religion, diversity, and the 1972 evictions.

• Khayelitsha - We will pass through the ghetto and township, one of the poorest areas in the country, along the N2. Many residents are domestic migrants from the Eastern Cape, the country’s poorest province.

• Vredenheim - At this wine farm, we will have our first excursion, including wine tasting and a cellar tour. The farm offers opportunities to explore fauna, flora, and viticulture and is a popular venue for weddings and conferences. You can also view big cats such as white and African lions, black and African leopards, Bengal and white tigers, and other antelopes. Viewing the big cats and animals is optional.

• Spier Wine Farm - Established in 1692, Spier offers a variety of quality wines and hosts open musical concerts during summer. It is also a place for eagle encounters and walking trails through the forest.

• Observatory - A historical and heritage center, home to Groote Schuur Hospital, where the world’s first heart transplant was performed by Christian Barnard.

• The Stellenbosch Village Museum - Here, we will visit the village museum, which comprises four historically significant houses and their gardens. Each home represents a different period in Stellenbosch’s architectural development.

• Delaire Graff Estate - This wine estate is one of South Africa’s most desirable destinations for wine, hospitality, and art. The property offers panoramic views of the valley below and the Franschhoek Mountain, resembling an elephant. This view symbolizes the last elephant leaving Franschhoek after the French Huguenot refugees arrived, fleeing religious persecution in Europe.

• Boschendal - One of the oldest wine farms in the country, initially owned by Jean de Long, a Huguenot refugee who came to the Cape Dutch colony to escape religious persecution in Europe. The farm was also the first to grant land to slaves for farming.

• Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve - As we approach Cape Town along the N1, we will see the Afrikaans Taal Monument on the right side of the road. This language museum discusses the development and values of Afrikaans, the language used by the oppressors during the Apartheid era.

• Glenelly - Enjoy a French-inspired cuisine lunch, wine tasting, and a glass collection and museum designed by the owner, a French lady known as the “Lady on the Rhino.” Situated on the slopes of Simonsberg, the estate was reacquired by May de Lencquesaing, the Grand Dame of Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Bordeaux.

• Woodstock - Woodstock was the first storage area in the country, where wood used for constructing most buildings in the Cape was stored. It later became a major manufacturing and industrial hub, mainly for textile companies and maritime cargo companies. Today, Woodstock has become an extension of the town, with a new real estate market emerging.

• Cape Town Central - Finally, we return to your hotel residence. The end.

• Century City - Also known as Canal Walk, Century City was founded in 1998, with construction starting then and inaugurated in 2000 as we entered the 21st century. You can visit the world’s greatest bronze monument, honoring apartheid fighters and veterans representing black people.

• Franschhoek - Visit Franschhoek, the “French Corner,” explore art galleries, and enjoy wine tasting at La Grande Provence, along with a city tour.

• Groot Drakenstein Prison - We will visit and possibly take a group picture at the statue of the “Father of the Nation” in front of the prison. See the picture section.
