A Journey Through History: Visiting Robben Island - Visiting Robben Island was a deeply moving experience that I will never forget. As soon as I boarded the ferry, the anticipation grew, and once we arrived, the sight of the island itself was both haunting and beautiful. The guided tour was led by a former political prisoner, whose personal stories added a profound layer of understanding to the history of this significant place. Walking through the prison and standing in Nelson Mandela's cell was incredibly impactful. It gave me a sense of the sacrifices made for freedom and justice. The exhibits and the landscape, with its stunning views of Cape Town in the background, created a striking contrast between beauty and the harsh realities of the past. The tour wasn't just educational; it was a powerful reminder of resilience and hope. I highly recommend visiting Robben Island to anyone interested in South Africa's history. It's a poignant journey that honors the legacy of those who fought for freedom.

Table Mountain at sunrise breathtaking - Witnessing sunrise from Table summit was truly awe-inspiring! The sky transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors, and the city awakened beneath us. The air was crisp, and the atmosphere serene.

Apartheid a concept that exists all over the world. - Impressive account of the system apartheid. This is a universal system/concept that is present all over the world but then translated into local societies. It is in the human being, always watch over democracy / equality.

Interesting trip - It was a real pleasure to meet Joseph, our guide who accompanied us around the Waterfront after we visited Robben Island. The visit is divided into two parts: the first part is by bus, where they show you the different parts of the island, and the second part takes you to see the cells, accompanied by a former prisoner. We appreciate also the mini tour realised in Waterfront where we have talk with Joseph! Highly recommend.
