- Robben Island Museum - Pick up at accommodation in Cape Town will be 1 hour before the boat departure. You will receive a private transfer from your hotel in Cape Town to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island Jetty. Here you will charter a shared boat to Robben Island museum where you will be met by a resident Tour Guide who will conduct the tour of the Island. (Please note that our tour guide/driver will not be joining you on the tour of the Robben Island museum.) The entire tour lasts 4 hours which includes hotel pick up, the 30-minutes boat trip to go, 30-minutes boat trip to return and hotel drop off. For part of the tour, you will be transported around the island by bus, before you visit the prison cell of Nelson Mandela and take The Long Walk to Freedom at the end of the tour. Your ticket for Robben Island will be pre-purchased by us in advance. You will be allowed time to grab some lunch at the Waterfront before your tour guide takes you back to your residence or hotel in Cape Town.
