Moving - and Important- Experience - Incredible opportunity to hear from former political prisoners, and to learn about their views on the South Africa of today.

A must-do - So moving to be in the place where so much history happened. Wish we had read about it before we went to better understand the history and significance. Unfortunately hard to hear the guides, especially when the bus engine is running. Would be nice if they continue to do upgrades in informational signage. To have the guides share their personal experiences was so generous and moving. Thanks to all of you who care to get past the past. Would have been helpful if tour provider had told us to look for tickets to download the morning of our visit. The ticket sellers ONLY sell tickets. They do not meet you or guide you. Everyone takes the ferry and gets the same busses and tour on the island so no real need to shop around except for price.

Unbelievable and somber - It was all done very well. Our pickup and driver were excellent from our hotel. The island tour was informative and what it was supposed to be-somber- hopefully reminding people this didn’t happen all that long ago and shouldn’t be forgotten because a variation could happen again.

Last Africa Port - Seeing how the prisoners were treated. Getting more information about the grounds. Seeing Mandela prison cell. A plaque should be posted over Mandela's cell. There's no marker.

Great Historical Tour - The transfer to/from Robben Island ferry terminal was well organised and efficient. The on island tour was on a very crowded bus and fast moving. The guide was very informative and the information provided a fascinating insight in to the island's history. However, we needed more time to thoroughly explore the island. (Maybe a full day option is required - smaller groups or even a bike option). The talk given by the ex-prisoner was stirring and emotional. This was the highlight of the experience without a doubt.

Disappointed and very expensive - The tour is very well organized in term of bus, boat, pick up collection etc… But there is no museum in Robben Island, Maybe 2 photos. No memories, no testimonies. Only in the boat on our way back and the Tv was broken so we could not see the end of the movie. Very disappointed
