So much history - The tour offers just enough time to see the island. They take care of transportation and ticket so all you have to do is show up and get on the ferry. Driver was great! Highly recommend!

Amazing! - As a South African, this was an amazing and educational experience that I should have done a long time ago! Would recommend to anyone - families, solo travellers etc. Very friendly staff & great to get a tour by an ex-prisoner. Amazing!

Insightful tour - A fantastic trip with ‘Sparks’ giving a real insight into life as a political prisoner on Robben Island. Sobering facts and information with a view of Nelson Mandela’s cell. But it was much more than just Mandela’s story, all experiences brought to life by an ex-inmate.

Memorable must do - Very informative and Ivan the driver was exceptional - the tour was raw and eye opening. The tours held by former guards / prisoners showed their pain of past experiences

It was beautiful day - This tour is one of the best tour, very emotional because the tour guide was a formal prisoner back in time he told us the story he lived with, he even showed us the Mandela's cell. where he spent 18 years of his life, our driver messaged us a day before about our pick up time very were organized.

The Struggle Is My Life! - Robben Island brought history up close and personal. The guides (bus and prison) were extremely knowledgeable (sincere and light-hearted) in explaining such a horrendous period in world history. More so, our driver (Ivan) was exceptional and well-versed in historical and contemporary issues of the region. Our pickup and delivery was prompt and we enjoyed a post visit to the newly opened March to Freedom Exhibit which put the Robben Island tour in context. Both tours are a MUST do when visiting Cape Town. Ask for Ivan!

Interesting & informative - The trip was very moving & informative. You may need sea sickness tablet as the trip is 45mins ant sea and there can be a swell. However looking at the horizon helps. The tour guides are ex political prisoners who tell all their sorties. Very moving.

Tour canceled due to weather, driver was great though! - Unfortunately my trip was canceled due to weather as we were headed to the ferry, but my driver was right on time and very friendly. They issued me a full refund without any trouble.

Twice the price for ticketing and pickup service - The actual Robben island itself is amazing, highly recommend the visit. But don’t recommend booking through this intermediary. You’re paying twice the price for a ticketing service and hotel pickup. Book directly with Robben Island and it’s only 600 Rand. I didn’t realize that all this operator does is book your ticket for you and drive you to the ferry terminal and that’s it. Also you may get very seasick so bring some seasickness pills
