- Table Mountain - Travelers will glide by Table Mountain as they depart Cape Town by steam train, able to see the massive mountain in all its glory in the morning, and evening light. Train ride will take 7 hours going to Elgin railwamarket and going back.
- Sir Lowry’s Pass - The majestic Sir Lowry’s Pass stretches to 417 m above sea level; no easy climb by train. Arriving at the peak, guests are treated to incredible scenery and panoramic views of False Bay, Cape Town and Table Mountain in the distance.
- Elgin Railway Market - The Steampunk, Art-Deco “Elgin Railway Market” boasts a variety of local food, beverage and craft offerings immersed in a truly one-of-a-kind setting. Kept warm by roaring fires in winter, and cooled by gigantic fans in summer.

What a wonderful experience! - Wonderful experience . Lovely old train. Very well organized. Friendly staff. Loved Trevor's updates and banter. Breakfast buns and coffee was a winner.

Highly Recommended outing for the whole family. - Such an amazing experience, all professionally handled by competent and happy staff who were obviously happy to be there and engage with all of the passengers on the train.
The route was extremely scenic and offered loads of photo opportunities.
We highly recommend this excursion, as it is suitable for all ages.
I'm sure that we'll be back again.

Exceptional service - This was a trip I had read about and was planning to experience and it was simply marvellous. The weather was superb, the ride very comfortable and the service and friendly staff was exceptional. Bernie our coach attendee was friendly, warm and always on the lookout for our safety and comfort. He even gave me tips on where to capture the best photos.

Just go, great destination on a day road-trip! Delicious food! - Great roadtrip destination with busy vibe of people enjoying themselves, next time will do the train ride to go, just for fun! Great choice of food-stalls, you will not be left wanting whatever your fancy or tradition may be! Loved it, especially that the 'take-out' style meals were served on porcelein plates with real knives and forks, it shows respect for diners and is great for the environment. Thank you for that one!
