Amazing Hike - Phil was a great guide for our Lions Head hike. Timed it perfectly to miss crowds, went at our pace, took lots of pictures and was great company!

An Amazing Hike on Lions Head and even spotted a Celeb! - Phil was the perfect guide for our family hike up Lion’s Head! From the very beginning, his communication and professionalism stood out. Days before the hike, he was responsive and proactive, recommending a slightly later start time to ensure our safety due to recent incidents in the area. This thoughtful suggestion gave us peace of mind before we even met.
On the day of the hike, Phil exceeded all expectations. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and ensured our family—my wife, our 12- and 14-year-old kids, and me—had a safe and enjoyable experience. He guided us with care, stopping for water breaks on what was a very hot day, and he never made us feel rushed. Phil even took the time to point out the best spots for photos, capturing stunning moments of our hike that we’ll cherish forever. He shared those photos with us immediately after the hike, which was a lovely touch.
Phil’s patience, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made the experience unforgettable. Beyond hiking, we learned he also organizes wine tasting tours and trips to Robben Island, and we’re already planning to book him for those in the future.
If you’re looking for a guide who truly goes above and beyond, look no further than Phil. Highly, highly recommended!

Lion’s Head Sunset Hike with Phil - Phil was a great guide who knew the place like the back of his hands! Prior the hike, he was very responsive and always shared updates in advance. He provided many nuggets of information about Lions Head as well as the surrounding areas which was very interesting! He was also patient and always prioritised safety above all else throughout the hike. My wife and I throughly enjoyed the tour with Phil and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Best experience in lions head - Phil is so knowledgeable, helpful and responsive..😃. We changed the plan from table mountain hiking to Lion Head circular route. No regret: the views are amazing! Phil also help us to take picture in the perfect spot, tks a lot Phil🙏

Safe & Epic - We went earlier today and had an amazing experience with views and knowledge given by Phil the owner/ guide.
He is professional, fun and very safe..
Pick-up in City was offered which helped as it was early.
Not expensive too regarding safety it is recommended with Phil :o)

Lion's Head - I messaged Phil in advance and he gave his recommendations of the suitable hikes as I'm still recovering from a knee injury. We decided to go with the Lion's Head hike and it was a really nice walk. Phil picked us up from our accommodation, adjusted the pace of the hike to my current ability level and also took some nice pictures of us along the way. And he's a really nice guy to chat with!

Brilliant family experience - We did the sunrise trek to Lions head as a family of four with two teens. From the very start Phil was brilliant. I was a bit nervous, this wasn’t something we did everyday (!). But we felt 100% safe and reassured by Phil. He texted us in advance, met us where he said he would, quickly figured out our ability and made this a truly amazing experience. We are not super fit, but a good level of fitness and a bit of courage is enough! It was an early start but a standout highlight to our visit to the Cape, the views from the top are breathtaking and the sense of achievement when we made it had us all on a high. Thanks Phil, awesome trip 🙌

The guide cancelled my reservation one week before - I reserved a sunset Lion’s Head hike with Phil three months in advance and was looking forward to it. About one week before the scheduled date (during a busy holiday season), Phil messaged me and said he was cancelling my reservation because there was interest on the same day for him to do a full day tour and he would be taking that instead. So, he didn’t honor my reservation. I found that very unprofessional.
