Enjoy the sounds of classic Christmas tunes in the air, snap a photo with Annabelle the carousel horse, and watch ice skaters glide on a fully decorated outdoor rink. You can even join in on this beloved Canadian pastime yourself (skate rentals available onsite). Warm up at the Coffee Shop with a hot chocolate and gingerbread by the fire.

Spend 1.5 hours exploring the Butchart Festival of Lights, followed by an approximately 35-minute drive to the gardens, passing through light-filled neighborhoods and the city.

Bundle up and leisurely stroll the grounds on this self guided tour viewing tens of thousands of beautiful sparkling lights and displays all around you. Soak in the sound of classic Christmas tunes as they float through the air, stop for a photo with Annabelle the carousel horse. Watch ice skaters skate at a fully decorated outdoor rink, or join in on a favorite Canadian pastime for yourself under the twinkle of holiday cheer (skate rentals available onsite). Stop in at the Coffee Shop to warm up with a hot chocolate and gingerbread by the fire.

After departing the gardens we will head back to the city, viewing the lights of Victoria’s neighbourhoods and city along the way.
