It was significantly expanded during the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) era for protection against Muslim Arab raids during the Arab–Byzantine wars. The tour will then visit the region’s famous rock-carved potato storages. Next, the journey continues to Soganli Valley, known for its historical significance, scale, and natural beauty. A delicious lunch will be served under the apricot and walnut trees, surrounded by towering cliffs.
