THIS TOUR IS AMAZING! Can't recommend enough - This was SO worth the time to come and visit! I'd give this 6 stars if I could, Teresa was a wonderfully hospitable host and we experienced so much more than just taking a look at some orange trees! She explained the history behind her family's orange farm and agricultural techniques in an engaging way, and let us sample lots of different fruits besides the oranges that they grow there. There were breaks to enjoy a glass of cold freshly squeezed juice, a chance to pick our own oranges to take home and take photos, and we wrapped up with a visit to the gift shop where everything was very modestly priced and we were able to have further tastings of the different jams, liqueurs and biscuits they make there. Teresa is amazing at what she does and really goes out of her way to make your experience as great as possible - when the fig jam was out of stock in the 100g size and we told her we couldn't fly back anything bigger, she filled an empty 100g jar just for us and we can't thank her enough. The whole farm landscape is idyllic, even at the end of the season after harvest (which happens in mid May, we went in late May). She recommended that if we ever wanted to see the orchards in bloom and full of oranges, we should return in March or April.

One of our Valencia highlights - Highly recommended - We found the two-hour tour with Teresa very informative and interesting. It was one of the highlights of our Valencia city trip. We were able to taste some fruits, juices, jams and liqueurs. We were even able to pick our own oranges and take them home with us. The train ride from Valencia was absolutely problem-free. From the train station we walked to the orange farm and discovered a few cool corners of Carcaixent.

Oranges, figs, and flowers - My husband and I really enjoyed our visit. Having the taxi arranged at the train station made everything easy. We really appreciated that this family is trying to maintain a family farm in a difficult economic situation. The orchard is beautiful and the guide was engaging and charming.

What a craic! - They didn't even slave-drive us to pick oranges for them! Wooooo! Great experience. Teresa was lovely, answered all our silly questions about snakes, loved a good history of the orange groves, literally couldn't give us enough oranges! Buggered about in the groves then saw them being cleaned and sorted. Tried some local juice then all the lovely orangey booze and food! Beautiful! Great to buy some loveliness from as well!

Amazing Tour Experience - This was one of the best tours I have taken! We booked the tour and received a message from the guide asking if we needed a taxi from the train station in Valencia. We did and they provided a taxi that was waiting when we arrived. The train from Valencia Nord was around 40min. The venue is beautiful and our tour guide was the best. We explored the property, picked oranges, tasted a variety of oranges and lemons, and at the end, tasted freshly squeezed orange juice. The blood oranges were delicious. The guide showed us around the entire property explaining the history and process! Fantastic tour. Would highly recommend when visiting Valencia.

A delightful morning - A lovely morning walking through the orange trees. We sampled fruits from the trees and learnt a lot about the history and how they are grown. We took the train from Valencia tickets cost 12 euros and walked the 25 minutes up to the meeting point. We had refreshments and had an opportunity to purchase jams marmalades and other items from a small shop. Ana was delightful as our guide. Definitely recommend it

Worth the trip - We visited this farm on a warm afternoon, mid November. The guide was pleasant, speaking good English and very good French. She gave a brief history of the heyday of orange farming in Spain, and its current situation. Then we followed her through the orange trees, and saw a vide variety of citrus fruit. There are 10,000 trees, set in a beautiful valley, with many small orange farms rolling through the valley. The tour ended with a pause on the balcony, overlooking the whole farm. Beautiful site, and we were given fresh lemonade, which was neither bitter nor too sweet, we ate mandarines, and taste-tested the cookies the marmalade and other products available in the gift shop. It was a lovely time for me, my wife and our adult daughter, who had gifted the visit for her mother's birthday.

Never again ! - I've been with my family and the place is not at all family orientated. It is just a money maker and they don't appreciate the importance of costumer service. Pour English for the tour guide, and really bad management. They are also very stingy, they are not happy at all if you want to taste the fruits directly from the trees. They have some small buckets and they offer you one each. I would never go back to this place . Stay away if you have young kids !
