Very nice day in this historic place... - Very nice place worth the detour, back in the Middle Ages, really to see at least once. We just have the Impression of being disconnected from everything...

Carcassonne cite - Great tour! Lydia was very pleasant, knowledgeable, spoke good English and was easy to be with. We learned a lot about the history of Carcassonne and the area. Highly recommend this tour and her as a tour guide.

It's always sunny in Carcassonne...unless it's raining! - It was chilly and drizzly but Olivia did her best to make us forget the weather as she shared the fascinating history of Carcassonne with our little group.

A wonderful experience - We had a very informative tour with Olivia. The wind was fierce, but that did not detract from our experience. We are from Australia, and never have we encountered buildings so ancient with so much history.

Always seduced - Always seduced by this beautiful city. We went there this year as part of the festival. I did not give four stars because this year there are many scaffolding for the repair of the ramparts and it does not facilitate shooting. This year the city is pleasant under the sun because it is not too hot, but watch out for the wind. The visit of the castle is interesting.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED VISIT, SEE MY COMMENT FOR PARKING AND FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS. - It is a very good place to visit and spend a morning visiting its streets. Special recommendation to eat at the Cafe de Lucien restaurant. It has a €14 menu that includes a salad, a local dish known as Casoulete que and a dessert, drink not included. It is one of the most recommended in the area. There is a very large area that can be visited for free, and then there is the paid area, but if you dedicate yourself to thoroughly visiting the area that is free, you will find it very satisfactory, but it is important to get lost in its alleys. In order to park for free you have to walk around the lower part of the castle a few times. There is parking upstairs next to one of the entrances, but it is very expensive. There is another parking lot down next to the bridge that is cheaper, but if you walk around the streets near that parking lot, there are free parking options.

To have - - Very beautiful city but very expensive The visit to the city can be done in 3 hours without rushing. Unfortunately not made for people with mobility issues because everything is made of magnificent cobblestones but nothing is made for rolling.
