Additional Information

See the six main waterfalls of the Brecon Beacons as well as some smaller falls and cascades, and admire the scenic valleys and the forest landscapes.

You will travel in a modern and luxurious fully electric vehicle, limited to a maximum of seven passengers, in the company of your driver guide, Andy, who is a Mountain Leader and a Green Badged Tourist Guide.

Meet your guide in a Cardiff city centre cafe. Perhaps you will choose to have breakfast here? Then it’s off to Pontneddfechan and the start of our hike. We will visit each waterfall as you learn about the local area from your guide. You’ll gain 400m of height on the 15km hike which is often over rough, muddy and broken ground. For our hiking troubles, we get amazing scenic views of the park and wonderful memories of sparkling waterfalls.

Immerse yourself in the landscape as you get the chance to walk behind some of the waterfalls. Perhaps you will take an invigorating swim in the final pool to finish off the tour!

  • Andy often brings his dog with him. If this is an issue for you please let him know.

Excellent day - Took part in the 6 waterfall/ 10mile walk at Brecon Becon with Andy lamb, this was an external experience even for me(I'm not fit) I felt supported and would highly recommend taking part, and if you have and doubts to contact Andy as he has a good knowledgeable and understanding of the environment. Easy to bookvia get your guide, clear instructions in meeting point and parting. The Caffè at the meeting point offers a lovely breakfast and lovely coffee, and the mid point pop up has excellent delicious food and amazing cake (both card payment) tiny shop on route (cash only). We would return.

Great hiking experience for all abilities, must do for visiting the Brecon Beacons - Excellent guided hike through the historic southern entrance to the Brecon Beacons. Guides Andy and Kate have created a very nice route, bringing hikers to six waterfalls, several scenic vistas, working farmland, ruins, and more. Andy has a comprehensive knowledge of the intertwined history and geography of the area, sharing it along the way along with some good humor. Andy and Kate were very helpful both groups on the tour and ensured that everyone had a great experience. Hikers of all ability levels will benefit from booking this tour.

Wouldn’t Have Missed It for the World - Wonderfully memorable day’s hike among the trees and rocks and glimpses of Welsh history. A lovely introduction to this side of the Bannau Brycheiniog. Very much doable even for a desk-working, paper-pushing beginner like me, though some reasonable degree of fitness and body-awareness will help. Andy was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and colourful and his dog was solicitous and energetic without being obnoxious. Best to wear waterproof clothes and bring a packed lunch. Highly recommended.

We recommend! - The day was rainy, but still everything was interesting and nice. Nice views, good “gang” and very good and experienced guide. 15 km to walk was not difficult, but good hiking shoes are recommendable. Value for money!

Autumn walk through waterfall country - Great guided walk. Saw six impressive waterfalls. Trails were easy to walk but a bit wet in places. The guide was helpful in navigating from one valley to the next where there were no signs and giving background information on the history of the area, particularly the silicon mines. Falls were running particularly full at this time of year
