On this tour you are accompanied by a historian with a deep passion and knowledge of Wales. You will learn some Welsh, sample traditional Welsh food and learn about the ancient history and culture of Wales. Gareth, your guide is a fluent Welsh speaker and he will give you an insight into Wales that wouldn’t be available with a standard tour operator.
South Wales is the most populated area of Wales and it is the area of Wales that is the most iconic around the world. This area includes neolithic sites, Roman remains, imposing Norman castles, industrial heritage, dramatic mountain scenery as well as beaches voted as some of the best in the world.The valleys have defined Wales with images of coal miners, rugby players, and male voice choirs. Since the demise of the coal industry the valleys have gone through some tough times but these resolute people still have a culture all of their own.

Great! - Gareth was lovely! He was very knowledgeable and packed a lot of sites into one day. We were also given plenty of time to wander around by ourselves so I didn't feel like I was being herded from place to place. Highly recommend!

Wonderful way to spend a day around Cardiff - This was a wonderful experience! Gareth was great at answering all of our questions about Welsh history and culture. It was a pleasure spending our day this way! We had two kids and two grandparents and there was something to do for everyone.

Great tour to see historic sites around Cardiff - The tour was well planned with adequate time at each of the stops. The van was clean and comfortable for the seven passengers. Our guide was very knowledgable about Welsh history. It was a wonderful way to see the countryside outside of Cardiff.

Great day! - Gareth was a phenomenal guide. He was very knowledgeable about the Welch language and history. We learned so much from him. Visiting the Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle were fantastic. It was a lovely day.

Awesome Welsh tour - This was truly awesome trip. Our guide Gareth was amazing. He reached out before the tour to pick us up closer to our hotel even though it was not on the route. His driving skills were great on the narrow Welsh roads and was full of knowledge and tips to maximize each stop. The time at each location was just right and. Great job and very well organized

Best Day Tour of Wales - Absolutely fantastic day. We saw so much. Castles, ruins, beautiful coastline (Worms Head - WOW), gorgeous countryside. It was non-stop, time flew by.
