Stadio dei Marmi - Meeting point in the Stadio dei Marmi area in Carrara, meeting with the guide, and start of the tour.
From here we begin the ascent among the vineyards of the green Candia Hills (famous for giving birth to a fine and original tasting Wine) along a route between the sea and the imposing Apuan Alps that is truly spectacular.
We continue along an up-and-down dirt section until we find the asphalt road again, which leads directly into the heart of the Carrara Marble Quarries. -

Men, Machines and Apennines - Visit during the week to Carrara marble quarries. We have seen the immense effort of the machines and the efforts of the few workers to extract it. The guide was fantastic illustrating very well the history of men and territory. Much appreciated also the stop at the ‘larderia’ in Colonnata with its tastings.
Not to be missed.

Standing inside the marble vault - Being inside the marble cave! It’s like standing inside a marble vault! It’s very cool inside. I can’t imagine being able to do this anywhere else! A once in a lifetime! Must do if you are in this town.

Nice trip with fantastic views! - Beautiful trip with fantastic views and good explanation from our driver Luca. On the way a stop to taste delicious Lardo di Colonnata.
The trip with the 4x4 in the marble cave was also surprisingly fun.

Brilliant tour - A must do tour. A crazy drive up the mountain. We done the 3pm tour so there wasn’t many trucks coming the other way. Very informative and spectacular scenery. Definitely worth the money,

The story live - You cannot come to Versilia without visiting the marble quarries.
Very interesting experience that allows you to understand how the whole territory has developed. Better the holiday visit as you enter the gallery but on the contrary you do not see the live work.

Great experience in Europe's biggest marble break - Fantastic fascinating experience to visit Europe's biggest marble break. Sweet and knowledgeable guide and equally knowledgeable driver who drove us around the whole area. We drove in Land Rover all the way up to the open marble break and then into one of the mines inside the mountain. Absolutely amazing beautiful and great experience.
