  • Plaza de San Pedro Claver - The name honors the saint known as “Slave of Slaves”, who lived and died in this monastery.
  • Plaza de la Proclamacion - This is where the proclamation of independence was made; this is the main importance of this Plaza. There is also a statue of the Pope next to the cathedral and many street vendors.
