Excellent! - Very interesting tour. We learned a lot about the history of Cartagena from the time the Spaniards arrived. Tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I would suggest comfortable shoes as the tour is about 7 km of walking and lots of water.

Enjoying walled city at Cartagena, we will return. - Excellent tour with Oscar. Started perfectly at Popa with a great view of the city so we can understand the reasons of the walled city. Cartagena is a beautiful historic city and well preserved. Highly recommended.

Great experience - We had a fantastic time on our tour! Our guide, Jhon, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts about the area. He was also very accommodating and made sure we had enough time to take in all the sights and take some great photos.

Fun and educational tour - This was a wide-sweeping tour of the city. Our tour guide Nico was so knowledgeable and friendly. He shared information not only about the major attractions but also about seemingly random spots along the way that had an interesting story. There was a lot of walking but it was at a comfortable pace and very doable even in the heat of the midday. I would advise that sneakers are a must for this tour, though as there is uneven terrain in places and also inclines that are more easily traversed with the traction of a sneaker. We really enjoyed our time with Nico and Novia (our most excellent driver!) and would definitely recommend! (Note you might want to consider bringing small denomination peso bills for the many vendors who will approach you with their wares. We did not come prepared for that.)

Great experience - Great tour visiting the main attractions of the city. The tour guide was John and he was nice and friendly and fully bilingual. He added a stop at the end to visit the beautiful new mall.

Woth a visit into the City - This is a busy city with much to see and not enough time on a cruise excursion. The catholic church at the top of the hill had many interesting exhibits, and a fine view of the city. A museum of modern art that had a theme of independence was worth a short visit. This is an old town and was planned for horse and carriages, and I would not recommend renting a vehicle as the traffic is overwhelming. There is a nice aviary near the cruise port.

Decent Enough - The tour was okay. Despite being six hours long, it felt a little rushed and I felt like there were a lot of rooms and other interesting sights within the monastery and the old fort that we did not get to explore. In hindsight, we learned most about those sights, but very little about Getsemani and even less about the Walled City. We did learn a lot about the many sackings of Cartagena, but mostly through the history of the fort. The description mentions you’ll start with arepas and coconut water, so we skipped breakfast, but these things weren’t actually provided until around noon, so we were pretty hungry by then. On the upside, we did some complimentary candies, but I don’t recall those being included in the ad. I was disappointed that we couldn’t get into any of the churches as I would’ve liked to have seen them. This has proven difficult even beyond the tour as they keep them locked and closed here, so I don’t think it’s necessarily a reflection on the tour. Tip: It may be hot and humid, so dress comfortably and maybe bring your own water, just in case. Our tour guide was able to take us to a reputable emerald dealer where we bought some jewelry in Getsemani, which was nice, and he also provided a lot of tips on navigating the city, appropriate costs from vendors, and some of the culture, which was very helpful for our second day in Cartagena.
