Duran is a delight and... - Duran is a delight and has a deep love and knowledge of Marquez. I really loved being in the places Gabo walked and hearing what those places inspired in his books or how they affected his life. This tour was a highlight of Cartagena!

The tour was excellent and Angel Eduardo Duran was great. - Angel Eduardo Duran was our tour guide for a Gabo tour in Cartagena and he was excellent. He spent a good amount of time before we started talking about Gabo and Gabo’s book. He is obviously a very well read man. He is knowledgeable, patient and a thorough gentleman. I have a disability and walk slowly, sit down from time to time, but he was very .patient and nice. We ended up spending more time than agreed when we signed up for the tour. He also went out of his way to entertain our request to visit a particular place that we wanted to go to. I would highly recommend hiring him if you are in Cartagena.

CARTAGENA THROUGH THE EYES OF GABO. - Well versed... enjoyable. Encourages reading and gives a wholesome description of our Literature Nobel Price.
A little bit too long to walk for older people.
I would suggest including passes to the locations like Serva Maria's cript.
Overall...A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Great. Entertaining. A must for Garcia Marquez lovers. - Great 3 hours walking tour with a smart 40 mn part in an aircond place to take a fresh juice. Guide was very knowledgeable and funny.

“Gabo” Comes to Life!! Not to be Missed! - My partner is a fan of Gabriel Garcia Marquez…..and I have never read his books. I thought this would be an interesting lens to look through to gain a deeper understanding of Cartagena and this Nobel Prize winning author. I was not wrong!
Duran Duran, the tour guide….has an incredible wealth of information about “Gabo” and his life and his writing. He was able to bring him “alive” here in a city that was central to his life. Duran Duran tells stories with great animation. He is clearly excited to share this knowledge with his participants.
The pace was great….not too fast, not too slow… We walked around the walled city and saw many of the places that were a part of Gabo’s life. We had already done a walking tour the day before….and this tour, just brought another layer of understanding of the influence of the region and the culture on his writing and the importance of Cartagena in his body of work.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone that is a fan of Marquez and would like to have an in depth understanding of this man and his life. Duran Duran took us to a book store where we were able to buy Marquez’s books….and I will most definitely begin reading!!
Duran Duran is generous with his knowledge, enthusiastic about Gabo and wildly knowledgeable about Cartagena…. an exceptional tour guide!

Excellent tour for people who loves Markes books. - It was excellent tour and we all been amazed by the level of knowledge about Gabriel Markes, that our guide Duran showed.
We highly recommend this tour for everyone who loves Markes books.

Gabo Experience! - It is a journey full of magic. Mr. Duran takes you into Gabo's life to the point that you imagine everything as if it were a novel. At the same time, the walled city of Cartagena is visited at those sites that had an impact on Gabo. It is a long walk but it is a thousand times worth it.

Yellow butterflies in Cartagena 💛 - Durán's attention, preparation and charisma are unmatched! Without a doubt the best thing about my visit to Cartagena was taking this walk. In addition to obtaining a lot of information that I didn't know about Gabo, being in the places where he was, places he stepped on, where he cried, where he loved, where he wrote, studied... they instantly transport you to his pages. Don't stop taking it if you like literature and magic :)

Fun to walk among the streets and locations that inspired Marquez's books and stories! - This tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Cartagena. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the places and walking the streets that were inspirations for Marquez's books and stories. And our guide was so animated and made the the books come alive through his stories and actually reading parts of the books throughout the tour. Highly recommend this tour!
